  1. I'd say ditch the Prozac. Dunno about NAC; don't see why not. I tried it while on Keppra, though not long-term or anything, and only a 588mg dose. Perhaps ask your doc about that. Cheers mate.
  2. disguyhere: Yeah just an annoyance.. oh well. Anyhow, I've just chummed down my 4th piece of gum bout half an hour ago, making my total intake of today 40mg. No effects on visuals, but I am feeling rather chill. Can't say it's not placebo, but I'm having a decent day. Cleaned up the apartment today, which is something that usually stresses me out. I noticed I was less bothered by doing this, and actually appreciated having something different to do for a change. Nothing adverse noted. Going to keep chumming 'em down and see how that goes. Going to take 2 at once now for a change. Ohh and the back pain and other pains I've been having do seem less, though these pains are generally minor and the result of poor posture. Could be coincidence.
  3. Awesome Syntheso! Not really in the meticulous mood at the moment, so I'll look through it later, but I'm looking forward to having a new idea to explore. Just one thing that pops to mind is 'excitotoxicity', however from an initial glance this wouldn't be a problem with GLYX-13 in particular.. Other NMDA agonists I'm not so sure of. GLYX-13 however, is ridiculously expensive. Over $100/mg atm I believe, and though I don't remember the exact doses used, that would put daily treatment in the hundreds of dollars at least. Not to be a party-pooper or anything, haha. Wouldn't be surprised if it'll be available somewhere this/next year from nootropic suppliers for far less of that price. Perhaps Ceretropic is busy with it; they seem pretty frontier focused. Cheers.
  4. Sooo.. just got the CanChew in the mail. Chewing on my first piece now.. not really noticing anything, though I've been feeling weird all day really. I'm just gonna keep taking these till I notice something happening. And, well, at worst I'll just get baked I suppose, and even that is highly unlikely to happen. No pun intended. In the meantime, could someone please get rid of @JapaNese? Making it pretty hard to see what's new and what's not. Cheers.
  5. No alas I don't. Haven't tried it since my last update for various reasons.. Figured I'd wait for the CBD to arrive, and then see how that effects me, and then adding Coluracetam on top of it. It could still be that with prolonged exposure symptoms may be alleviated; I do not know this. I should be receiving the CBD either tomorrow or Tuesday, so I'm keen on trying that out!
  6. Watch here. Thought this might be of general interest here Source: VideoNeat (has some other interesting stuff as well)
  7. hope1: Nice find! However that would mean intracerebroventricular injections/transplantation, which in my understanding, is an injection into the brain... Which by all means isn't likely to be a non-invasive procedure, however if the treatment is perfected, it could very well be beneficial. Though some questions arise, such as if it would be beneficial if not administered acutely after excitotoxicity? I mean I've thought about something like this, though personally I rather not have injections into my brain. On the upside; I recently read an article in which it was portrayed how researchers are developing novel mechanisms of CNS administration and enhanced BBB permeability, so perhaps that could be an interesting avenue to combine the two. Can't find the article though; I've read it in Scientific American.
  8. ^ I hope that wasn't sarcastic, haha! Really, if there's any other way I could help, let me know.
  9. GP's generally don't know squat, let alone about HPPD. Best you print out the DSM diagnosis. Though definitely get the blood tests done. MRI.. EEG is better, but hey if it's free go for it. If he can throw in a Lyme test, that would be good too.
  10. CBD-crew may have "high CBD" but their ratios are generally 1:1, which doesn't make them preferable. If you're gonna farm, go with Avidekel. The seeds are ridiculously expensive, but I'd presume well worth the investment. There are some other strains with a higher CBD ratio than CBD-crew's plants (AC/DC for example), but the rest I've forgotten. In any case, you'd probably be better off just buying the CBD products, considering legal issues etc.
  11. Apparently it's pretty ace for pain relief in particular.. I've some pain as well from being sedentary (joints/withered muscles), so I'll make sure to note any pain relief in my feedback. There's already 1 topical CBD product; "Hemp Salvation Balm" from Dixie Botanicals. Cibaderm is another line of CBD skincare coming soon, though it's not that much aimed at pain relief I presume. Yes THC is something I'd rather avoid myself as well. I haven't seen any info regarding THC amounts to be honest, but I think any amount would probably be negligible (<1%). I'll check the label once I receive the products, though if any THC is present, the CBD:THC ratio would be high enough to make it non-noticeable. I haven't looked in to the 5HT1a receptor activation, or what the effects of that would be. I'm not really worried about that myself, as it seems serotonergics don't really effect me in any bad way. Also I doubt the serotonergic activation from CBD would be anywhere near on par with psychedelics. I've applied for a MediVape sample.. still waiting for an answer. Looks like free samples are limited to UK only though. I don't know/care much about the law, however I don't see any reason why it would be illegal. Indeed CanChew seems like an awesome product! Though so far the only literature I could find on sublingual bioavailability was done in rabbits, moreover I'll have to access the whole article. If I'm not mistaken, bioavailability generally goes in order of effectiveness: IV, sublingual, pulmonary, rectal, oral. So either sublingual or vaporized would be preferable to rectal oral Sublingual should be perfectly safe, whereas vaporization is questionable (though obviously better than smoking). MMJ Inc. does indeed seem to be a very legit and honest company, whereas I've my doubts about MediVape. Here's the post about CBD I made in bpl's noopept thread.
  12. Soooo... Took 20mg of Ceretropic's Coluracetam today. What can I say? I've already been having a relatively decent day today, so any psychoactive effects are not that easily noticed by me I suppose. I do feel generally better. As for visual improvements: they are definitely there. Though not so much mitigating the HPPD visual symptoms, my vision is improved. I don't know how else to put it. I still have peripheral fuck-ups of vision, still visual snow, still colored blotches and cobwebs.. just the usual. Though it's not as bad as it can get, that doesn't mean the Coluracetam is improving it. I'm looking forward to trying this in combination with CBD. Considering that I still have anxiety and irritability here and there, it could be that the CBD would mitigate mental/cognitive symptoms, with which I could attribute more perceptual "processing power" to my actual vision instead of my thoughts. A bit wishy-washy stuff, I admit. Just a thought. I.E. hoping the CBD is going to help with the DP/anxiety/brainfog side of the story, so that I can focus more on the visual aspect rather than being entangled in useless thought. In any case, so far so good and I prefer Ceretropic's product over the other. I'll have some more this afternoon. EDIT: Another thing I might not have mentioned yet, is that my motor functions seem improved while on Coluracetam. Especially when throwing about random objects and catching them (yes that's my way of testing motoric function). Just quicker to react or so.
  13. Hehe on the off-chance Well so far so good mate; nothing bad I read. To be honest I don't know.. I mean I don't see why not. It's a sodium channel blocker, but I don't know too much about Lamotrigine in particular.. I'd say best to ask your doctor. Coluracetam is a different story because nothing is known about its metabolizatin afaik. I wouldn't see any problems with ALCAR/Choline(bitartrate I'm presuming)/Inositol combo though. But I don't have the highest safety standards, if you get my drift I mean of course you should always tell your doctor what you're using according to.. random disclaimers, though I don't always do so. Chances are he's not going to like it if you tell him you've decided to start taking Coluracetam. So perhaps best to just limit your questions to whether procholinergics would be a problem, or just pose it as a "hypothetically" type of question (e.g. "So doc.. what if I were to enhance my HACU.. would that interact with Lamotrigine in a dangerous way?"). That's just my take on it. By no means does this substitute for professional advice... you know the drill. Or you can just say that you're interested in trying out supplements, but have no specific supplements in mind, and ask him whether he could tell you about any possible interactions or supplements to avoid, and why. Sorry if that's not much use to you.. I really don't know
  14. So how about a new name for HPPD? "Roulette's Syndrome"
  15. I know; as I just mentioned in the CBD thread.. I'm trying to work on patience, haha! Thanks for the advice nonetheless. I'm hoping tomorrow I can get my head level and write up a protocol of supplements to adhere to, and not to deviate from that. Though sometimes I do use things on an as-needed basis, which can cause for questions. It's not like I smoke Passiflora every day at 4:20 Ceretropic's product is a sublingual solution, so there's no way to compare physical characteristics. All I can do is try it
  16. Looks like you're doing much better of late, good to read! Hope I'm correct with this? I got the Coluracetam from Ceretropic, and also from Stopacne.nl. Ceretropic should have it in stock really soon though (few weeks). I haven't tried Ceretropic's yet (only received it today), but I'm planning on doing so sooner rather than later. Ceretropic has been great (thanks guys, if you're reading this!) in customer service IME, whereas although Stopacne did send me another gram (long story but it was sort of a refund on shipping I presume), I never really got a reply or an e-mail with "Hey we shipped you another gram instead". Still have to compare the products though, so you might want to wait until I report back with that info. Also, Ceretropic is slightly cheaper. I ordered CBD from both Amazon and from CBDgum, the latter of which I can recommend (great customer support, which I hold in high regards with my cognition haha.). I also enjoy a smoking alternative (Passiflora). I'll have to try out hops though; sounds nice! Cheers mate.
  17. Awesome; should be receiving my first order of CBD anywhere between Friday and Tuesday! I should really do some work on being patient though... Ha guess that'll keep be occupied until then
  18. Ahh that's good Hmm.. so-so. Having some good days, some bad. Some weird things happening lately, but that's probably just because I'm stubborn and tapering off Keppra too quickly, also just taking supplements at random, so I've not really been having a straight baseline of sorts. But good news is I got some new/different Coluracetam in the mail, and CBD will follow shortly, so I'm excited about that What's your current cocktail?
  19. Bummer... Well at least you can cross something off the list right?
  20. Thanks Sam Haven't really been giving it a strict trial either, so perhaps it might prove to work (better) nonetheless. Yes indeed perhaps my tapering was/is interfering with the effects.. I'm planning on staying on a steady dose (of Keppra) now for a few weeks, so it won't be so much of a wishy-washy thing. It just so happens that Ceretropic's Coluracetam was just delivered as I was typing this. Though I'd like to try it, I'm actually feeling much less in a funk right now than the past 2 days, so I rather just appreciate that and try the new Colu out when I've been feeling decent for a while. I'll see what I decide.. for now I'm unusually relaxed for no reason at all (maybe the magnesium I took helped? probably just coincidence though.), whilst I've been stressed as hell for no good reason the past 2 days. Something funky going down up in the cranium I suppose, so I'll wait for that to settle down before getting back on the experiment-horse. Cheers.
  21. So just a quick update: Yesterday I did 10mg OD. I was feeling very strange and unusually anxious all day, even before taking Colu. I don't know why though. Maybe because I'm tapering down on Keppra too fast. In any case, I'm abstaining from Colu till this straightens out. Feeling more or less the same today. Hoping that it'll sort itself out once I've been on this Keppra dose for a while.. Thinking I'll extend my initial plan of staying on this dose to 2 weeks instead of 1, perhaps even longer. I've no other ideas what could be causing this. Perhaps the residual effects of the oxazepam I took a few days ago, but I doubt it. Also, with the other Colu coming in soon, I'd rather just wait until it's here and try that instead. More trust in that product than what I'm using now I suppose. So; sorry, but I'm taking a little break from this experiment.
  22. Cool, looking forward to that qaiphyx. hope1: I doubt they'd be interested in treating HPPD with that. Probably they're busy implicating it in Alzheimer's and Huntington's.
  23. I was hoping to add something useful to this conversation, as I did have some valid arguments at the time I had to choose between the two. Can't remember them though. Think it had to do with safety and side-effects, with Keppra being the superior IMO. Bummer I can't remember. In any case, I saw you got it prescribed, so let's hope it works for you!
  24. Awesome synth! And what must-be said, haha! Hope you manage to keep a 'cleaner' trial than I usually do. I tend to get impatient and end up being inconsistent with my methods And of course; good luck
  25. Feeling abnormally abnormal today (really; I can't do much more than lie down on the couch), so not really participating in the forum that much. However, I found a comprehensive review of all studies ever done on CBD: http://www.calgarycmmc.com/cannabidiolcbd.htm, which I thought I should post before I lose it.
