  1. Jay and David seem non-existent. .......Guys? ............GUYSSSS!? .....LOL Help to fix this PLEASE!!!!
  2. Qaiphyx brought to my attention 5ht2a inverse agonists. It was a great success in FDA trials. And because of his ideas i invested in a stock that went up 1000%. Thank you! ....but ofc the money is not as important as something that will help us and other people with nerve based problems. This is what I have been interested in now: a treatment for MDD and stem cells. The treatment for MDD is a drug called NSI-189. I'm not sure we have mentioned it before but there are official trials being performed as we speak. And i found a site where people were getting the drug from chemical companies and this is some of their "opinions": http://208.71.46.190/search/srpcache?ei=UTF-8&p=longecity+nsi-189&fr=yfp-t-140&rs=0&u=http://cc.bingj.com/cache.aspx?q=longecity+nsi-189&d=4573935196046048&mkt=en-US&setlang=en-US&w=y653-FeiyYof_A2CyQ0KTNLrnI9JNkzn&icp=1&.intl=us&sig=VNrvcJFPLC2J_zIR6jbtCw-- The company behind these therapies is neuralstem.
  3. I'm sure someone is profiting from our hard work. And I mean monetarily. ............Yuck. I'm disgusted.
  4. This is a really really bad thing. The coolest stuff and most informing material i have posted have been turned into "articles", never to be seen again. Only the two main guys on here can be held accountable, I think .....? This can make you lose interest: the last thing we need on this site. Really not cool.
  5. I would stay away from this drug Chris. This drug causes metabolic acidosis. But we seem to be a group who have in the past experimented........So fk it!!! Go for it LOL
  6. Once i got my organ, i couldn't keep my hands off of it !
  7. Elontril is bupropion (ADD and/or Depression drug). Keppra is for epilepsy. Zyprexa is an almost 'across the board' DA and 5HT antagonist (strong antipsychotic). Remeron/Mirtazapine is a drug from an earlier class of ADs (tetracyclic/NaSSA)............ [ssris being the 'newer' class]. Sooo..... i assume: 1. Keppra for anxiety-ish stuff 2. Remeron for depression 3. Zyprexa for craziness 4. bupropion for depression and motivation and concentration ~ I say: Seroquil (instead of Zyprexa) taken at night. By daytime it metabolizes into an Elontril-like drug and will boost Elontril's effect some. May want to go on an SSRI instead of Remeron. Keppra could be sub'd with Klonopin or Ativan or even Valium.
  8. Was this in the actual magazine or just-on-the-web? Guaranteed the author spend some time on this site. Very well written article. Did he mention ghosting??
  9. Please send pics of girl. Thanx. ; )
  10. Hah! I've had heavy HPPD symptoms immediately after org. .....i mean immediately after! org. -----> stand up right away ------> trail-like visions kinda sucks but went away after a bit
  11. My life never 'began' and i'm in my early 30's. Not only do i have many shitty relationships, i have a shitty relationship with myself in terms of connection with reality and self esteem. Don't worry................It can get a lot worse.
  12. Sometimes the fkn depression doesn't leave you! Medical or physical conditions and circumstances as well as mental issues really make it so you envy your 'old self' (if there ever was an old self). Nothing is storybook. I wish it were. I realized nothing was making me feel good at all. I had to listen to this song like 3x and i started feeling a bit better.
  13. Hi guys, I'm back for a bit. For me and perhaps only me, it seems that HPPD has been a 2 year "acute" disorder. I'm just over a year and it is very similar to my first HPPD episode. Of course for me there are/will be lingering effects after 2 years but much more mild than the symptoms had been earlier imo. There is one video i'd like to show that is not directly related to HPPD and i probably have already posted it but maybe not. People use drugs such as PCP etc. as a model for some mental illnesses. I think that really bad HPPD with bad depression and anxiety can be similar to the feeling of having some of these illnesses. So check this out, just for general info: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSqMD5ajp3w
  14. I know offhand that serotonin directly/indirectly effects dopamine concentrations/production (to make more). Dopamine gives us motivation, so this is why i think it could make you less depressed and more able to focus. Thats why i think when you are depressed and unmotivated and unable to focus well, the residual HPPD symptoms are more noticeable and are like the straw the broke the camels back (in that when you add up all the negatives that you are faced at any given moment, that esp. w/ low level dopamine in certain parts of the brain, the symptoms become too overwhelming).
  15. Fuck! Sorry. ...Of course we are all invited. ....Get Kozin talking guys. IDK.
  16. Sammy- maybe one day we can get on webcam and talk. i'd like that. we can invite more people too.
  17. Is it possible that we can get some of the main contributors and other bright HPPD people to have a video cam conference chat?? People such as me, Chris, you, Visual, Hope, Shaolinbomber, Qaiphyx, and a few others ....and the journalist. There is a site where we can do it easily. What do you think?
  18. Shit. I know exactly what you are talking about. That was the beginning of my problem this time around. I tried to remove my inner voice while reading. And now i realize that I can't get rid of my inner voice while reading or else i will go crazy. For me, the inner voice is necessary while reading. IDK a little off topic but this is how i feel.
  19. OK, here are my thoughts: A lot of people use the drug for its sleep-aid effects. So taking it at night is not a bad thing. But in terms of it going into your body and getting metabolized there isn't a huge difference in taking 1/4mg 2x a day or 3/4 at night. You can go that route I suppose but i would do it differently if I were you. (Although that route may be more effective for you so IDK). You can go to an 1/8 in the day and then 1/4 at night (and then eventually to 1/8 at night). Or if you have Ativan you could take a ~1/4 mg 2x a day and start dropping Klonopin a lot faster taking in that you take the 1/4mg Ativan and maybe a ~1/16mg of Klonopin (at the same time). Eventually I think you can get to a point where you are taking like ~1/64 of Klonopin and like ~1/8 of Ativan. It seems somewhat complicated and maybe slightly irrational, but it isn't in my eyes. Most doctors usually don't try these things this way. But i have found this to be very effective in getting me off benzos. (Of course, Consult your doc.....b/c i am not a physician). But, I was basically off benzos for 2 months using this method. But i still have had some anxiety come back ...and now i take it occasionally, maybe once or twice a week i take 1/8-1/4 of Ativan and the tiniest minuscule chip of Klonopin (together)(Maybe like a 1/64 or something....lol). Ativan is more immediate and for me the Ativan is more like baby-aspirin for me, while the Klonopin is like regular Aspirin. (Keep in mind that Ativan in large doses taken a lot and quickly stopped is still somewhat dangerous). These are my thoughts and are not by any means the objective truth for all people, but maybe for some. I hope i kinda helped a bit. Thanks.
  20. I don't think HPPD is a purely psychological disorder, for one. And two, while some psychiatric disorders may be hereditary, HPPD seems to be reliant on drug use for it to be HPPD. In the end, HPPD/hallucinogens/hallucinogen "burnout" manifests itself as something that influences the physicality of the brain (organic, plasticity, receptor density, trauma, damage, monoamine levels, etc.).
  21. Guys, we are fucked. Some of us may never be the same. It's a shame because it seems obvious that we are a very bright group of people. I think in general our shared experience pushes us very close. This is unlike many other internet communities. I don't know what the answer is. But i have had lasting experiences because of what has happened to me from drugs that are almost indistinguishable from psychosis. I hope we all can support each other to get through each day.
  22. Yes. I have been thrown into a deep depression. But this is nothing new. The hard part that i found is that i was generally an introvert before this and now i am forced to be an extrovert because i am unable to be in my brain and i have lost a fair amount of my natural talents. I cannot think deeply like i used to and now i am forced to deal with people of which 9/10 are f'k'n assholes. And because of that i remain alone most of the time. But like i said i have cognitive deficiencies etc.; so things are very difficult for me. I totally feel your pain.
  23. They are unrelated technically; but there are countless LSD etc. "casualties", people who have lost touch with reality to a certain extent. I have posted a tremendous amount about this. HPPD is a brain-derived visual thing more, though i guess supposedly.
  24. I believe it. When you are so "shot", like those patients are ......well dopamine is the problem, obviously for them. Look at how ADD meds have totally changed people's lives. Dr. Oliver Sacks started using L-Dopa (i believe) in the early half of the 20th century, and this is what the movies Awakenings (with Robin Williams and Robert Deniro) was about. It's amazing how cool that painting is (done by one of the patients).
