  1. "Don't eat veg or fruit"?! hahaha, you will have much bigger problems than hppd within a few months. "Science" paid for by the cattle industry would be my guess.
  2. Yep... It's likely that as you obsess over your visual field, you notice naturally occurring faults in vision I've had floaters since I can remember. They are a physical issue that can be fixed with lazer treatment.
  3. Stress and lack of sleep are the key reasons for spikes in symptoms (outside of drug use). The good news is they are almost always "just" spikes and you will get back to baseline, it might take a few more months, just keep on fighting.
  4. Just a quick note that floaters are not caused by hppd, i've had them since I can remember. hppd sufferers see them more as we focus on our visual field. You can actually get surgery to get rid of them. Head pressure, I wear sunglasses as often as I can, indoors and out.
  5. Yea, we get so many people post for just a few weeks and leave. Would be very interesting to know if their hppd went away.
  6. Yea, i've tried pretty much everything that's ever been mentioned on this forum! Nothing works for me, sadly.
  7. Hi Allen, welcome to the site. I have tried all the meds that are supposed to help hppd and have yet to find anything that works outside of benzos. I prefer to just keep away from meds now and use benzos 3 days a week to ease my anxiety (usually over the weekend when I can be more sociable). I am sure you have built up some good coping mechanisms during your years though and will have no problem helping to raise your child!
  8. They do it on how many users are online at once... Our limit is set at 30 and it went to 85. I have been on the phone to them and they have agreed to set it back down to the current tariff, but I feel this might be a wise time to cut the cord. All it takes is one popular reddit post that directs here and we could be billed for $1000s.
  9. Great, thank you... If I can get access to the domain, let's do this.
  10. Hi, I received an email yesterday from the forum company and due to a (one off) spike in traffic, they are trying to change our service from $60 to $330. Sadly, I simply can't pay this amount each month. I see two ways to keep the forum alive. 1) Try to get donations from users and other sources to help pay the forum bill. 2) Try to move the forum to a dedicated server. Can anyone help with 2)? @David S. Kozin.... If we do this, I will need access to the domain name to set the DNS. All the best, Jay
  11. It's very unlikely to be psychosis... More likely dr/dr, some ptsd and anxiety/panic attacks. It's a thought that has crossed all of our minds on here, i'm sure... But getting the correct diagnosis is key (even self diagnosis). Especially as anti-pysch meds tend to make hppd worse.
  12. You've had a clear warning sign, I wouldn't say you have mild hppd, but you certainly have all the precursors to suggest any more dabbling with drugs could trigger something. 12 days is too soon to know anything, so stay totally sober and see what happens. There is every chance you will recover, but take notice of what your brain is telling you. Also be aware that your vision was never perfect, but you were never actively looking for issues... The more you focus on hppd, the more you will see the eye's natural flaws and panic yourself... My advice, try to forget about hppd, distract yourself... get out in the world and do things that you enjoy that don't require drugs/alcohol. If, in a month or so of sobriety, you still feel there are lingering problems... Then start doing more serious research on the topic. All the best, Jay
  13. Stress and lack of sleep can do this. Just try to stay calm and remember that is has gone away before and will almost certainly go away again.
  14. Keep on fighting mate, you never know what is around the corner. People might not care about hppd much, but the medical community DO care about anxiety and epilepsy, two areas where new meds could give us hope. If a non addictive Klonopin came to market that allowed me to take 2mg per day for ever, i'd consider myself able to have a decent life (not cured, but able to do everything I want). I am sure such a med is possible and the market for such a thing would make it viable for testing and research (big money to be made). It sucks that we are in a world where the illness that has the most potential for money making gets the focus, but that is capitalism for you. If you do need to move on from the forum, just know that you are always welcome. Stay strong, Jay
  15. It definitely exacerbates hppd,,, I can confirm that one personally! On the flipside, I have seen a friend of mine, who was severally depressed get cured by ketamine... There is certainly something to it. What is required is serious warnings by these doctors before taking on each patient. Adding hppd, dpdr and anxiety to an already depressed person will results in many suicides. Sadly, the cash grab is gonna lead to a lot of misinformation and future problems.
  16. Hope1, please calm down. Attacking people who are interested in this field, but not your very specific field is pointless and will just push people further away. It is worth noting that well being can be negatively affected as well as positively. Having long term negative impacts on well being will, i'm sure, be interesting to people making this survey.
  17. Yea, i get this a lot.. I call it a feeling of dread and seems to be a next level version of anxiety. To be fair though, with everything going on in the world right now, perhaps we are actually justified in feeling this way!
  18. Yep... I'm not even against it in the slightest (I've seen a depressed friend go from suicidal to pretty much cured from Ketamine treatment)... But the goldrush scares me and it is being marketed or spoke about as a "safe" alternative.
  19. I think these MDMA/LSD therapy treatments need to be held to the same strict levels as medications, with a very clear set of potential side effects. Needs to be fully regulated
  20. Great post and happy to hear that you are not letting it define you. You are totally right about seeing very slow progress, but it is progress non the less (for me it is more progress in my coping mechanism and just getting a positive outlook back). Keep on fighting, Jay
  21. Even microdosing is risky, I would say not to try it.
  22. None that I know of, but I did find out that my dad did take lsd in the 60s and had a bad reaction to it, not hppd, but dp/dr like symptoms that last for some months.
  23. Hi Jake, these are the exact situations benzos are good for, a much better coping mechanism than alcohol, which is good at the times, but doubles down on anxiety the next day. I'm sure you know how benzo addiction goes, so probably don't need to mention to be careful (you seem to be very sensible about this stuff already). I would try and ride it out as best you can for a few months, then, if there is no change, start thinking about medication. Although it sounds like you don't have hppd (great news) i think the anxiety and dpdr should be treated in a similar way... Avoid drugs and alcohol, even caffeine, eat healthy, work out/exercise, try to de-stress in anyway you can, even if it means slobbing in front of the tv for a couple of months. All the best, Jay
  24. I'm just recovering from a broken collar bone right now, so struggle to do anything, even type... But in a month or so, I can help
  25. DP/DR lasts as long as it lasts and that sounds like what you have. 6 months is still early days and you have a good chance of recovery, so please don't do anything rash. Maybe you can describe in more detail what your therapists have diagnosed you with (pre-lsd)? Keep on fighting. Life can get better.
