  1. Probably about 20% to 30%, it was quite good, as I rarely respond to meds.... unfortunatly I lost my bag on a flight to new york and had to go from 1500mg to zero for 2-3 weeks and it made me really, really ill (like electric bolts going through my body).... After that, I decided not to go back on it. Something to keep in mind if you ever go travelling. But overall, it was a good experience and I might try Keppra again some day.
  2. I took a vitamin B complex along with Keppra, it helpd with side effects
  3. did you oversleep or undersleep? This can affect visuals
  4. I've had crazy dreams post-hppd.... but I think a had crazy dreams beforehand too..... I get alot of recurring, nightmarish dreams.... but also some dreams where I know i'm dreaming and can go flying about and stuff... pretty cool.
  5. Don't forget when you wake up, you are still in a bit of a dream state... I would imagine that non hppd people can see weird shit in those first couple of seconds... They just forget about it straight away. Most of us probably check out our visuals as soon as we wake up, to see if it has changed... So we will pay attention even when we have just woken up and still in a bit of a daze.
  6. Is your mum laid back and supportive, or will she judge you and give cause you stress? If she is cool, then tell her... talking to someone about it really helps, and she can help you with the doctors and stuff (make sure they don't put you on anti-depression or anti-pyscotic pills). Remember that you do not have to do whatever a doctor says.... In this day and age, you can study your illness and what makes it better or worse... you can go in with alot of data and let the doctor know what you think the he/she should do.... The chances are, your doctor will no nothing about hppd... So you have to inform them and be firm.
  7. Yea, that's a big dose. I've tripped pretty strong off around 70 before. Mushrooms give you such a profound trip, it changes your life forever, HPPD or not.
  8. If you stick to bottled beer... You should be fine. The next day will be tough (unless you have a benzo) but within a couple of days, you will be back to baseline.
  9. What kind were they? In UK we have ones called liberty caps... very small and light brown in colour. 150 of those would be a big trip. I used to go 100 for a nice trip and 150-200 if i was in the mood to lose it.
  10. Welcome to the board Are you doing any drugs still.,.. smoking weed or anything? These first few months... you really have to avoid everything... drugs, smoking, drinking, coffee...
  11. This is sounding really good. Very happy for you. Please keep us up to date with progress and let us know when you stop other meds, especially klonopin Thankfully, you can stay on Keppra for life without tolerance or addiction. I'd call that a HPD cure!
  12. That is good news mate.... I was similar to where you are now.... I had hppd, but I kind of enjoyed it and did more mdma and smoked alot of weed..... The I had an awful, nightmarish time for 4 years.... full on tripping, but not good in any way. Thankfully, I recovered a bit after those years and now have hppd, but it doesn't fell like hell anymore... If my mistakes can stop you taking more drugs and entering that nightmare... i'd be very happy
  13. No reasearch has been done, as far as I know... I can't really see it being studied as it is so rare and also comes with so many variables. I can't see why there would be a link, personally, we are likely to have a predisposition towards mentall illness that may get passed down, but I can't imagine it would go much further. There have been a number of parents who posted on the old board and I don't remember anyone mentioning their kids had any problems.
  14. Welcome Tony, you have a good, positive outlook. I'd be wary about doing more drugs though, even in moderation. This illness has the potential to get much worse.... Imagine going from a good or mild trip, for life... to a bad trip, for life. That is the russian roulette you are playing when taking more drugs with this condition (I speak from expereince). Other than that though, you are doing everything right and have a great outlook on this. 4 months is still early days, so there is every chance of a full recovery.
  15. Maybe use the chemical name - Alprazolam http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alprazolam
  16. Change doctor..... Xanax is perfectly legal in the UK. She is either lying or clueless, neither is a good thing.
  17. haha, that's a bad one.... i love it though, the lottery of who will pass out 1st. I remember my mate going into work once (pizza express) with "cock sponge" written on his forehead... No one told him for the whole shift.
  18. good work fella.... what's the plan now? Straight into work or relax for a while? don't forget to post any juicy financial tips you get ;-)
  19. This is just a theory, as far as I know. It is something to discuss with your doctor. As a collective, we all understand little bits of the puzzle, but we might get things wrong, remember things wrong or self diagnose. The medical info found here should always be backed up by your doc.
  20. Hopefuly you can relax a bit more in the summer holidays.... Just take a bit of time out for yourself
  21. Good post Gill.... completely agree, better to focus on things that are medically well known, like anxiety and OCD.
  22. That's a hell of a mix! hopefully you have struck gold. Are you planning to cut down on the other meds, if Keppra keeps working? Great to hear a possible success story
  23. are you on any other meds or supplements?
  24. Worse.... those brown things are dog treats! they have a video of the dog eating it's dinner off my face and I didn't even move once.
  25. i'll grab some next time i'm in town and test it out
