  1. Hey everybody just wanted to let everybody know that I fasted a few days ago. The only thing I ingested for 48 hours was filtered water and mineral water. I experienced some clearer thinking during the fast but other than that I wouldn't say it did much. My depth perception has gotten slightly better but it has been getting better for quite some time now so maybe that would have happened without fasting? I have noticed that my good moments (minimal amount of symptoms) have become a little better than before but the bad moments are still there. I appreciate food more after the fast and chew my food a little more but I wouldn't say it made any impressive improvements in my symptoms. Does anyone else have experience in this?
  2. I had panic attacks for around 8 to 9 months. Maybe like about 4 to 7 times a month. They went away as my symptoms decreased and as I stopped being afraid of the visuals and the feeling that I am still semi tripping/peaking. My HPPD also came on at one of the worst times possible in my life but somehow I managed without prescribed medication or getting hospitalized. So I`d say they are temporary and you can eventually overcome them.
  3. From my experience pharmaceutical grade fish oil helps in the long run.
  4. I don`t know if doctors can do much about floaters :/
  5. Never do psychedelics again and stay away from weed for a long period of time and see if it gets better.
  6. I will be getting my results back in 6 to 8 weeks. So how many samples do you have so far?
  7. I never had severe color changes like you but if I focused on a object my peripheral vision would start moving and swaying. Sometimes the object itself would start moving, swaying, or breathing also and if I blinked or changed my focus it would go away. I would say what you are experiencing is similar to that even though you are seeing colors and I movement. So yeah I think its normal.
  8. Between 7 to 10 hours works for me.
  9. Ancestry.com Funny because I always wanted to do this since I was a kid...
  10. Good luck! I quit cigarettes, caffeine, and processed sugars as well. It`s not THAT hard. It gets easier after awhile and you get used to it. I am going to try a 48 hour water fast one of these weekends. There are some health benefits... gonna find out for myself.
  11. I had the same exact thing for like 10 to 11 months. Now it`s not that drastic.Edit- I also did have surges where it felt like I was going to peak again.
  12. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I have to delay in taking the test. Money problems but nothing serious. I think I rather do ancestry because I don`t like that article on 23andme. Does prometheus and geneticgenie analyze raw genetic data from ancestry.com as well?
  13. It's been a year and 2 months now. I still had it after 6 months (it only gradually began going away then).
  14. Two nights ago I smoked 2 Indian herbal cigarettes (beedies) and my visual snow and after images increased. Also started feeling brain sensations and head pressure again.
  15. I had the flat look for about 6 months. Went away over time and by now it is almost completely gone.
  16. Theanine does make you sleepy and calm in my experience. Also made me feel weird and made my vision a little weird (sorry that's the only way I can describe it lol).
  17. I did mdma once at a festival after about a month of HPPD (still didn`t know what was wrong with me) and I thought maybe I can untrip myself with it. It didn`t make my visuals worse. It alleviated some stress and anxiety while I was on it. I don`t think it made my HPPD worse at all however it probably added to my depression during the week. I would say that it had the same effects as when I would take it before HPPD except the DR made me more of an observer of the experience than before so in that way you can say it was a little less effective.
  18. If you are still able to get good grades you should be able to work, contribute to your life, others, and society You will probably be able to handle college too. I managed to finish. Keep going.
  19. I will order the test kit in 2 to 3 weeks. Still debating on whether I should go with 23andme or ancestry.
  20. First I puffed on e cigs instead and then I just quit cold turkey when I was getting fed up of the spikes in visuals.
  21. My visuals can still come on strong once in awhile but the severity doesn`t compare to the first 11 months.
  22. I did. At around 10 months in I realized that my visuals and intrusive thoughts increased temporarily every time I smoked cigarettes or electronic cigarettes (especially the first cigarette of the day). So I quit and it`s almost 4 months now. In the past 4 months I had the most progress. I`m sure clean eating, exercise, healthy sleeping habits, and staying away from drugs helped as well. In the first 7 months it seemed like smoking did not make it worse though.
