  1. So I finally received and started taking CBD oil from Dixie Botanicals. I take 10 to 15 drops everyday and found it to be very effective in decreasing anxiety & depression. It is also effective in making you a little more social but not in that intoxicating way, it feels natural. I've been taking it for almost 2 weeks now. I even felt better on the 2 days I skipped taking it so I'm confident that it's working. But I still wouldn't classify it as a complete cure. I'll check back in like a month and report my progress.
  2. Animal PM is a product for work out recovery. It has amino acids, magnesium, valerian root, GABAs, Nerve Growth Factors, and many more things. I've been taking it like once a week after working out or a really strenuous day at work. It has been effective in decreasing my visuals and taking away that feeling that you are still kind of tripping. I still wouldn't call it a complete cure though because it doesn't eliminate all visuals and it doesn't completely take you back to your prior to HPPD self. Either ways I highly recommend it. I would like to know if anyone else has had any success with it. Here's a direct link to one of the websites that sell it: http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/univ/animal-pm.html Wish you guys luck and a Happy New Year!
  3. Hookah doesn`t affect my visuals at all. Cigarettes helped me deal with HPPD in the beginning but now I feel like they are doing more harm than good. Sometimes I feel really good in the morning: mind is clear, feel calm, visuals are at a minimum, don`t feel any head pressure. But as soon as I smoke a cigarette it disrupts that peace. This change was recent. I`d say Hookah and e cigs are the safer route.
  4. Hey guys I stumbled upon this article and just wanted to share it: http://www.kurzweilai.net/neural-prosthesis-restores-normasl-behavior-after-brain-injury?utm_source=KurzweilAI+Daily+Newsletter&utm_campaign=c4fd6f5a6e-UA-946742-1&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_6de721fb33-c4fd6f5a6e-281917137 Ray Kurzweil is a futurist who has been so far very accurate with his predictions. Maybe this device would send signals to the brain to stop visual abnormalities?
  5. No problem! Yes this forum is great! Just keep at it!
  6. Yes but after awhile you realize this is more PTSD and anxiety related rather than actually going crazy. Just hang in there and then you will begin to notice that you are more sane than crazy lol. My thoughts have become clearer over time. I can actually focus again and not have HPPD be the only thing that is on my mind. It takes time and a lot of hard work. Your confidence in yourself will slowly and gradually return.
  7. I had the same exact thing but that feeling of tripping again slowly and gradually fades. I still have that feeling but it doesn`t compare in intensity to how it was the first 6 months.
  8. If you stay away from everything it will get better. I`m almost 8 months in and although it got a whole lot better it doesn`t totally go away. It`s as if as soon as I start feeling like myself again and try to exert mental will power (like I used to prior to HPPD) it comes back. I feel like I have to train myself to feel normal again without focusing on the visuals and letting them get to me. The only symptom that I had no improvement in whatsoever is the visual snow. I have found the ways of dealing with anxiety and intrusive thoughts mentioned in these sites to be helpful: http://ocdfree.tumblr.com/howtoovercomeintrusivethoughts http://www.drmartinseif.com/resources/intrusive-thoughts.html http://www.uncommonforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=672450 Let me know if that helps!

    help me!

Let me know who you order it from. Dixie Botanicals are just getting their supplies to make the batch they are going to start shipping out
  10. Yeah I read the same thing about your dopamine levels increasing to make up for the lack of sleep. Which would explain why some people are so talkative and hyper when they don`t get sleep.
  11. I wouldn`t want depression and anxiety from HPPD plus a come down from another drug.
  12. Magnesium definitely helps. I`ve been taking 250 mgs of magnesium oxide daily for almost 2 months. My anxiety has decreased tremendously. I take valerian root mixed with passion flower, hops, and lemon balm occasionally when I can`t sleep and that has been helpful as well.
  13. I am no professional but if I were in your shoes I would lay off all the pills so that my brain could heal and that I could stop relying on them. I would just stick to the kratom as long as it wouldn`t worsen my visuals.
  14. Hey Dante. Some of my friends smoke all the time too but they accepted it that I don`t smoke at all anymore. Sometimes I just leave when they smoke and go do something else. And yes it does get better over time.
  15. I have found playing games on www.lumosity.com to be very helpful in reversing some cognitive decline.
  16. Its probably from the blow dude. Although I never tried Alpha-GPC before
  17. It doesn`t go away right away. The thing is you have to do the right thing consistently over an extended amount of time plus face your fears and you will start seeing results. I have seen results already although I`m still definitely far from cured.
  18. Mr. 50s - In my experience the hand shaking goes away once you layed off drugs and alcohol for a decent amount of time, exercise, and learn how to keep your anxiety under control.
  19. Well yeah but the crazy part is that it comes over my entire visual field no matter where I look. Andrew- It starts by itself but I can make it way worse so yeah in a way it is self induced.
  20. Well I don`t have to stand when I eat so its not that bad yet! lol
  21. For the past few days as I have been trying to go to sleep I noticed something different in my vision. When I would look at my dark pillow for about 5 seconds I noticed that the entire area would be black in my visual field. And when I focused my eyes a certain way the darkness spread to my entire visual field to the point where I can look away and still see nothing except black, hints of dark blue and dark purple mixed with some visual snow. I had to blink and refocus my eyes for it to go away. Does this still fall under the category of HPPD or is this a symptom of something else? It didn`t feel trippy and I wasn`t having anxiety.
  22. I quit smoking for 8 months but then after a month of HPPD I went back. I now smoke regular cigarettes and e cigs. They definitely help me cope.
  23. You don`t need drugs to have fun, feel good, be creative, or be spiritual. I wish I was more aware of that prior to HPPD.
