  1. Big Papa Chakra - I think Oliver Sacks needs to hear about this. I read two of his books and would love to hear what he thinks about HPPD. If he is going to write more books in his life (which I`m not too sure if he will because he is getting old) HPPD is definitely something he would write about.
  2. I had mild hppd (similar symptoms to what you are having now) for a week after my sixth trip until my 7th and final trip the following weekend. I advise you stay clear of psychedelics and mdma to not get the full blown thing. The full blown thing comes with a whole array of psychological and cognitive problems. With that comes a greater risk for physical problems in my opinion. It is totally not worth it and if I could go back I would have never touched a psychedelic in my life.
  3. Yeah it was niacinamide plus all the other b vitamins. And yes the first day it was super relaxing but I think by day 3 I felt EXTREMELY depressed and down.
  4. I had the same experience with taking niacin for a few days straight (except I took it with other b vitamins too). I felt miserable, would cry almost the entire day, felt like I ruined my life and let everyone down because of HPPD, had a hard time eating as well, etc. Thanks for all the info though!
  5. I am 24/7 sensitive to light now but sometimes less sensitive and other times more. My vision has also gotten worse although I can generally see "very well" as well. I took 5-htp a few times during the first couple of months with hppd and I don`t think it increased my anxiety. I don`t think it affected my visuals either. I remember that it would usually boost my mood and make me think more positive. I could see how using it everyday for an extended period of time could cause a problem though.
  6. I agree with you StateOfRegret but I want to make my friend understand without getting angry. I think he takes me more serious now as I kept mentioning my symptoms for such a long time and told him how serious this is to me. Yeah Mike since their is no visible suffering everyone will think you look fine and are fine. 24years I think that is a great demonstration! Lol That would definitely give people the idea of what its like!
  7. Has anyone`s friend or family member thought you were "exaggerating" your symptoms? If so how did you handle it?
  8. If you can`t get your hands on any benzos at the moment then try magnesium (500 to 750 mgs). I personally always feel a slight anxiolytic effect from it. Probably everybody on this board had their "I don`t know if I can keep going on like this" moments and yet we`re still here
  9. Just ride it through. It gets better. Definitely go on that trip to Brazil and let us know how that goes!
  10. Doing this method: Or you can take a pain killer like ibuprofen. Other than that I just patiently wait lol. This month my head sensations and pressure aren`t as strong as the last 9 so I hope this trend continues.
  11. Yeah I now realize the spike in visuals was mostly due to taking it before I go to sleep. My visuals always spike before knocking out. My current routine is taking around 23 drops in the evening. Before this I used to take 10 to 15 drops once a day at no set time and after a few weeks of that I tried taking 6 to 10 drops three times a day. My hppd has been slowly and gradually getting better and I noticed the cbd is working better now. Idk if that`s because cbd works better after long term use or if its because my hppd is a little less intense now.

  13. I`d say pick #3 but be very conservative with it. Like try to quit coffee and cigarettes completely if you can. If you need some caffeine drink green and white tea instead. Don`t smoke weed since it increases your visuals long term and short term. Try cbd oil instead. Drink only on special occasions with family and friends like on New Years, weddings, holidays, etc. Don`t drink to get hammered.
  14. When I take more than 20 drops at once I notice that my visuals slightly increase in some strange ways. But I feel good so I don`t care lol. It`s only short term and the increase isn`t permanent. Did anyone else have their visuals spike from taking CBD oil?
  15. At first nicotine helped me cope but after almost 10 months and having improved to a certain degree I realize that nicotine makes it worse (at least for me). I quit cigarettes and only smoke e cigs but that doesn`t help much. Sometimes I won`t smoke for the entire day or even for a few days and as soon as I take a few pulls I feel an increase in brain sensations and visuals. But it`s so hard to quit!
  16. I`ll definitely check it out. Check out the show called Perception if you are into that kind of stuff. They don`t mention HPPD but basically every other disorder gets referenced or used as a theme for an episode. The main character is a schizophrenic professor with a PhD in neurology. He and this fbi agent solve crimes.
  17. Maybe the b complex vitamins aren`t the best quality but I get the niacin flush from them.

  20. That`s interesting Merkan because too much vitamin B would make me really depressed. Idk which one specifically because I would take a B 100-complex but I stopped taking it.
  21. Its helpful but not an instant solution. More like an ongoing thing that helps.
  22. Yeah you have to accept it and do it the right way. You can`t doubt it and shouldn`t really expect anything just go along with the process.

  24. Yeah load up on fruits, vegetables and organic honey if you can. Try lutein with zeaxanthin. I can`t imagine magnesium making it worse though.
