  1. There will probably be no changes in the description of HPPD. Some people have tried to change it, since the current description is a bit misleading, but APA just won't listen.
  2. Hallucinations while half awake is called Hypnagogia, and it's normal. When experiencing hypnagogia, it often feels like you're falling or as if the bed is leaning. http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Hypnagogia
  3. I experience this at night when i cannot sleep, then the "thought voice" goes out of control and that freaks me out. However, my thought process and "thought voice" is not the same as it was before i got HPPD. It feels like it's gone and i often have to force myself to think.
  4. I have this issue and severe brain fog as well. I can get scary thought loops sometimes as well, especially at night when I can't sleep. Like Boogres described it feels like being a zombie all the time. I won't be able to live like this for the rest of my life.
  5. I'm not questioning your experience, but it sounds really strange. I understand that your brief moment without the symptoms must have given you much hope. My symptoms have been constant 24/7 since I got them. I used to pray a lot in the beginning as well, but living with HPPD have destroyed all the faith I once had.
  6. I have this as well. If my phone is laying on the table and i stare on the table for some seconds the phone will merge into the table and disappear. It comes back when i stop staring.
  7. Oh, i know Francis Collins, he's a clever guy. However, this won't help us too much i'm afraid. The politicians thinks it's better to prohibit drug use instead of helping the people who have destroyed their lives because of drugs. And the people who have ruined their lives have a hard time to influence the society to start any serious research on the subject. Our diagnosis is also very similar to drug induced psychosis, and it doesn't help that many people don't dare to seek medical help because they got it from drugs. But do not despair, if i manage to recover i will study to become a psychiatrist and research about HPPD.
  8. Thank you for your story, I read everything. And yes, you're indeed an old timer. I'm on my phone now so I cannot write the long answer that you deserve. I agree that your story differ when compared to the average HPPD story, but because of the stereotypical symptoms there's no doubt that you have HPPD. Your development of the symptoms was extremely long, but HPPD is a stangre thing on its own and there's little research about it. I admire your ability to fight the disorder for such a long a long time. I've only had it for one year and it has totally destroyed my life. Thank you again for sharing your story. Myrslingerbult
  9. It made me tired and suicidal, symptoms got worse as well.

  11. Good luck! I hope it helps you, keep us updated! / Lycka till! Jag hoppas att den hjälper dig, håll oss uppdaterade!
  12. Jimmyb84, go into the chat room and try to hook up with someone, i'm gonna be there some time today. Cya there. You can message me otherwise. Don't panic. <---
  13. Guest_Eddie_*, Nice to hear! Dp/dr is a living hell. :/ I hope my goes away soon...
  14. Don't give up dude, it'll get better. Your new illness is temporary, don't forget that. And when your illness is gone, your HPPD symptoms will probably get better over time. Hang on there!
  15. I'm sorry to hear that you've had it for so many years, but that means that you are strong, so keep fighting.
  16. Forgetting things that you just did is a common dp/dr symptom.
  17. That's a good idea, but I wonder how much freedom this forum interface gives the administrators...
  18. I got HPPD from spice and I know a lot of other people who got it from spice as well. Almost everything that can make you trip badly can give you HPPD.
  19. I understand exactly what you mean, i have that as well. If i look at a lamp and then look away i see (often green) sparks. They fade away after some seconds though. It looks kind of like sparklers.
  20. Since you're also from Sweden, I prefer Swedish. Hej.
  21. Great news! Congratulations Dylan!
