  1. Then I see no point in keep struggling with this... :/
  2. Thank you for your answer -mg! But my future children won't get hppd if I recover before getting them, right?
  3. Calm down. We must be able to have different opinions without starting to criticize each other.
  4. I've got a really bad cold right now and it makes my visuals and anxiety so much worse. It's really unpleasant.
  5. I see the point in both of your opinions. If my future children probably will get HPPD, then i really see no point in keep struggeling with this shit. This is an issue that i've been think of a lot, since i can't live a normal life with my HPPD. I will investigate in this. Thank you for sharing your story, EmIly.
  6. Research about visual snow and depersonalization is highly relevant for us suffering with hppd. I'm celebrating the new year at the moment but if you google it i'm sure you'll find it.
  7. Thank you Merkan, I'll read all this when I have a better day.
  8. Thank you for your answer, i'm pretty familiar with "crossing/genes schedules". I'm just worried that my future children will be born with dp/dr and visuals due to my HPPD... I'll make sure that they never touch any drug, no doubt.
  9. I see. So my children will probably have a extra vulnerability for developing HPPD, but if they stay away from drugs they'll be all fine?
  10. I'm glad to hear that, Dylan! I hope the same happens to me. I'm just waiting for the dp/dr to go away... If my dp/dr goes away, i'll be able to cope with the rest.
  11. I really don't know what to do... Maybe I should stay on it for some more weeks.
  12. Simply put, could my future children get HPPD without touching any drugs? I'm damn sure that's not the case but I want to see what you guys think about this. I've studied some biology since I chose the natural science programme in school.
  13. I've been on seroquel, but I don't take it anymore. I took it for 6 months because my doctors thought that I was psychotic. Seroquel was the only anti-psychotic medicine that didn't fuck me up even more (as zyprexa and abilify did), but on the other hand it didn't help anything either.
  14. My visuals are getting worse...

  15. The cognitive dysfunction (including problems with memory), severe dp/dr (can't recognize my face in the mirror) and visual perceptions.
  16. This was interesting... I'm willing to try everything since i can't meet friends or go to school due to the intensity of my hppd.
  17. Thanks! Merry Christmas to you as well!
  18. Thank you so much for your story and welcome to the forum! I'm sorry about your relapses but it's a really strong thing to cope with all the symptons for such a long time without giving up.
  19. Computer can already get infected by malware and you can damage the motherboard if you overclock the CPU too much, but computers are much more easier to repair than our human brain. However, our electrical computers won't last forever, you can't tweek Moore's law into infinity due to heat in the capacitors and transistors. Scientists are therefore researching about quantum computers and protein computers. As soon as we get real DNA printers and protein computers, it's not impossible that a computer could react to drugs in the same way that we do. If you're interested in computer science, i highly recommend that you watch this clip with the theoretical physicist Michio Kaku.
