  1. As an admin, i am a bit uneasy about posting this but since i have a rapid response to meds, i would gladly try this out. Too bad Goldpharma stopped shipping to Sweden but if there is someone with this substance i would as said try it out. My doc is pushing me about the meds i already have prescribed and dont wanna risk them by arguing for new meds. If anyone could directly me to a solid/legit place to order i would be thankful or if someone has some spares to send.
  2. Just wanna add the frustration that in theory the cure is probably there but the leap to an actual substance is far away. That goes for many diseases anyway.
  3. qaiphix>> I really hope you are here for the long run, i do not understand all of it but you seem to be very driven and possess a lot of knowledge about neurology. About sleeping pills, when i was admitted to the hospital before getting my meds, when i got my zopiclone/zolpidem (ambien etc) all of my symptoms vanished in 15 minutes and i forced myself to stay awake just to be free from HPPD for a while. I talked about this at the time but no one really looked in to it.
  4. He now comes back to the US with 50cm long beard and preaching the enlightments he receieved watching the Aurora borealis on HPPD from his tent. Its been rumored all over northern europe.
  5. Cut the worst carbs wont do a lot imo, cutting them all makes a HUGE different. I was/am addicted to sugar but since i dropped everything, even the carrots and fruits its great. Its like taking an extra med, even boosting all the others. Its one of the keys to make me symptom free. But it really means cutting it all and stick to it, not make exeptions during the weekend etc. You need to get on ketogenic fuel and stay there. Thats what epileptic people benefit from. 5% of the energy (not the amount of physical food) of your intake should be from carbs at the most. I eat 10 grams of carbs/day and that comes from veggies grown above ground. Look it up on food in your shop and you'll see how little that really is. The trick is to eat unprocessed fat instead of carbs.
  6. Would have been more interesting if they said anything about levodopa and COMT-inhibitors
  7. Did my lasts dives at this course during the weekend with ear protections. Though i am thrilled that it looks like its going to be ok, i do feel a it sad that i really could not enjoy the diving. But there will be more of that, spoke with some others that has swimmers ear and do not use topical steroids or anti biotics but other methods, or just waiting for it to pass.
  8. Hope, how much money has been donated? Need to decide if if this is to be pined or not.
  9. Sluggish i guess, didn't specify. I didn't really know when to press, this was before i took the right amount of sinemet so had slight vs left. Maybe i missed dots all over and thats why they want me to do it again.
  10. Kinda weird since that is the part of the QEEG that shows the delay time that is present in HPPD. My only explanation is that in Sweden there is no normal control results to compare with. I will pull my results from the lab and compare it with for instance Davids QEEG. Also i will try to get someone like dr A to take a look at the results However, what is weird is that i got abnormal results on a normal eye exam where you are supposed to detect dots in the peripheral view. Since the other test came out ok, i need to do that test again since they think something went wrobg with the test.
  11. As Jay say, we can hope to get the crumbs that fall of the table and hope it helps. I would say that Sinemet, Clonazepam and Keppra are those types of crumbs. There wont be a designed drug for HPPD, however it might be so that HPPD will be clustered with other, similar diseases and helpful treatment is derived from it. That is what i think, that or something Dr. Abraham:ish (who could see that COMT hypothesis coming?)
  12. ATM, i use regular 21% but am about to go for the enriched type, i am not only interested in the visual part of scuba but the meditative state, weightless without thought. When you learn to control the breathing, its religious.
  13. Well, i am an Advanced diver and when i am submerged more then 20 feet my brain calms down and i do not think about HPPD at all. Or anything to be exact. But everyone gets that, the "martini" effect when submerged for some time.
  14. Well Gill, since Visual came to the board and shared his story about HPPD induced by toxins i am ready to reevaluate your thoughts. It scared the shit out of me to talk about "damage" but now i feel more at peace with that thought. Not saying that is the only option ofcourse.
  15. I have a big family, my mother has 8 siblings and my dad 3. Together i have like 50 cousins but we do not have a single neurological/psychiatric diseases. I looked it up when i got HPPD. The only thing is that a couple, as well as me have ADD though i do not consider it a disease since ADHD diagnosis is decided according how "normal" people work. In other societies, it would probably be the shaman that would be classed as ADHD-subject in the western world. I feel pretty safe when it comes to genetic disorders, why i have the "HPPD-gen" is another issue.
  16. Things have settled down. Still symptoms but slowly fading. Next time i get whatever, i wont take any strong meds if its not absolutely necessary.
  17. Everything that isn't processed. Real butter and oliveoil for cooking. I stick to those.
  18. Went to ty room this night and noticed that the flickering is gone. Thank god, it makes me hope that this is not permanent. Sill extremely sensitive to light
  19. When i say normal i mean what is normal to me compared with the severe symptoms i got three years ago. Going from being able to live with HPPD without using meds and holding a part time job but still very depressed about my situation, to being hospitalized just sitting the day out waiting for the staff to give me ambien at night to get relief (shut down the brain) Thanks Visual for the info. I hope this will work out, i'll come back with info on how things are on monday.
  20. Not that good, i have intense flickering which was my initial symptom when i got from normal HPPD to severe three years ago. This makes me scared that i reached another threshold of permanent worsening.
  21. Feel better this morning. After images has faded but still there and still a bit worried. Either way this is a reminder that i am definititely not progressing with healing my symptoms. It feels like i had the worst backlash yesterday but i need a week to see this threw. Either way, kinda bummer that this happened now. I was going strong in my life and HPPD wasn't something i identified with. If i get back to where i was, it'll take a couple of months. Atleast thats my experience from previous backlashes. But for now i can only entertain myself with the massive trails shooting out of my hands like crazy.
  22. I truly hope you are right. Worst anxiety has passed but this thing just reminded me what we are dealing with. Even if I recover, which is the most importan thing, i hope i can continue scuba diving. Probably need to spend a lot of money on special gear to make my ears dry from now on. But still scared that this is permanent, i'd skip the scuba in a hearbeat if it meant for sure that i'll be ok.
  23. I took Betamethasone for two hours ago. Just a couple of drops in my ears due to ear infection. Now everything is back, from being symptom free to afterimages up to 30 seconds. Waves of panic attacks, sweating etc. I am so frightened that this is something permanent, some say they got permanently worse due to anesthesia and anti biotics. Cannot believe those drops did this. Anyone with knowledge or experience with this, would be nice to hear what you have to say. Used to be the rational one but if this is for the long run, man i am not sure i can take another set back when i was living a great life. Not sure if anyone has an answer to this but i am having a major crisis so i am throwing it out there.
  24. Carbohydrates is probably one of the things to cut out since it really fuels inflammations. When the agriculture society started, inflammatory diseases sky rocketed. Try strict ketogenic diet for a month. Its the only none-med action i taken that made a difference and that difference is HUGE. However, if you eat a lot of carbs and especially sugars you will have withdrawal.
