  1. Yeah if you quit smoking you should be fine. Definitely quit psychedelics as well. Over time you should see improvements. Its possible you will need more than a month though.
  2. Besides photophobia, the only one I can relate to is the feeling of the world being too much to take in (both visually and motion wise).
  3. I think that if you quit drugs and drinking now, you should be fine.
  4. And with HPPD just taking the recommended dose is enough!
  5. No stuffy feel but I definitely have ear pressure once in awhile. Sometimes the pressure comes in a wave and I automatically know that my ears are going to start slightly ringing and then they do.
  6. Well it always feels like there is a lot of activity going on in my brain and usually in the same parts of it too. I feel like its highly interconnected with my HPPD. If it would go away I think I would go back to normal by at least 90%. But besides that it feels like the rest of my body is overstimulated in general (less neck and torso, more legs and arms). Also a lot of the time my heart is beating fast.
  7. Well I was having moderately severe panic and anxiety attacks before but I just don`t feed into them anymore so they went away for the most part. Xanax does help but I don`t want to get addicted to them because I have a history with really liking pills lol. Ever since the onset of HPPD it feels like my nervous system is overactive. It does calm down when I relax and just stare off into space but thats when my visuals increase so I try to avoid that lol.
  8. Hey have you guys ever heard of clinical endocannabinoid deficiency? http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/18404144/ (The full report is also available for free online.) This makes me want to try cbd oil even more. I`m going to order some from Dixie Botanicals in a week and report back here.
  9. But once you start taking those don`t you have to take them for the rest of your life?
  10. Not since the last time I checked in August. My father has high blood pressure though.
  11. Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone found something that kind of mellowed out their nerves. It feels like my nervous system is overactive for no reason. Its as if my nerves are being constantly stimulated or something. I learned to keep my depression and anxiety under control but even with that it feels like I`m about to hyperventilate or start slightly shaking although I never do. I fidget way more than I ever did. Meditation helps but I obviously can`t meditate at work or when I`m talking to people lol. Is there anything that helped others?
  12. Hey I just found this on the Visual Snow group's page on facebook: http://www.thedenverchannel.com/lifestyle/health/visual-snow-sufferers-hope-for-cure At least this kind of stuff is getting some coverage now.
  13. Hey Ashe, I felt the same way the first 5 months. Hang in there! I`m 7 months in and the only thing I have left are the visuals, weird random thoughts that stress me out and/or make me lose focus, and head pressure/sensations. My friends also told me I seem fine. Try to find a job that isn`t too hard and stressful and you will be alright. I and many other people managed to keep working. I even wrote a A+ paper during the 1st month where I was sure I was going crazy and didn`t even know this thing is called HPPD. A lot of it comes down to will power and taking care of yourself.
  14. You aren`t the only one dude. I quit coffee, alcohol, and all drugs yet I still notice new visuals once in awhile. Sorry I don`t know why though.
  15. I`m reading The Mind`s Eye by Oliver Sacks and it`s pretty good too. It`s interesting and motivating to read about how other people manage to live with all sorts of cognitive, visual, and physical problems. Dr Sacks also gives some insight into the science of it all.
  16. The only thing you can do is ride it out and don`t feed into it. Whenever you feel like you are semi tripping just calmly change your focus to something else. Sometimes its easy to do and sometimes extremely difficult but we have no other choice.
  17. Yeah I`m definitely going to stay away from it from now on.
  18. I took Nyquil the day before yesterday because I was feeling sick and I wanted to knock out. It helped with falling asleep but it made my visuals WAY worse before sleeping and during the next day. Has anyone else experienced this?
  19. Thank you for this! How much skullcap do you take and where do you buy alpha brain? Its a little expensive on their site.
  20. Take 1 to 2 capsules like around an hour before you want to go to sleep.
  21. Yeah it doesn`t directly decrease visuals. I find that the only time my visuals decrease is when I`m too into whatever I`m doing that I either don`t pay attention to them or completely don`t have them for a short time span. But since green and white teas generally make me feel better you can say they indirectly decrease my visuals.
  22. Whats your source?I thought green tea has from around 20 to 30 mg and coffee around 100 to 200 mg.
  23. One cup of tea does not cut it of course. HPPD or not, it is said that you have to drink at least 2 to 3 a day to experience the benefits.
