  1. nah it's my bad...its hard decoding emotions and stuff like that over the internet haha
  2. well rollingregret it's crazy you got a doc that's giving you 4.5mg k a day. I mean I would shit a brick if my doc would even consider 1mg a day for me lol. I don't have any advice about adding other meds into the mix, but all I have to say is the longer you wait the harder the wds are gonna be. Don't be afraid to go slowly. Have you set up a WD plan at all yet?
  3. all I asked was if people tried these anxiolytic herbs and what affect it had on HPPD. I ain't messing with anything, I'm asking a fucking question to make sure it'll be safe whether or not I decide to take the plunge. thanks for you worries I guess?
  4. already tried that. MAJOR visual flareup.
  5. Well apart from the occasional opiate or benzo, Ive been staying sober recently. This is very fucking boring, especially because I'm off school and basically do nothing all day. I mean I would never touch spice, but I'm just wondering if anybody has tried the following legal herbs and whether or not it affected their HPPD: Kavva Phenibut Kratom I'm especially interested in Kratom, as it's a legal opioid. I mean I gotta stock up on that shit before it's illegal either way lol. Anyways, I'll never touch these if anybody reports negative affects but they all seem to have anxiolytic effects from what I've read up on them. don't get mad at me for posting this, I'm just bored and curious. Thanks in advance for any responses.
  6. could be. like i said i lost the source for that info so I cant check it again
  7. lol^ but I forget where I heard this, it might of even been here, but if you take melatonin every day it supposedly makes your brain make less so it's harder to go to sleep when you get off it. I wish I had a source for this
  8. So does the snow make stuff wobbly? Is it a small distortion? Or something else? It's not really peripheral for me. Also it's pretty much always the line where walls/ceilings meet together.
  9. Don't worry about this one, that scared me so much when I first got HPPD. Now it's still there but I barely notice it. That's not true. If you dig through the forums, you'll find some "recovered" threads. those are nice to see. You also need to take into account all the inactive members on the site. For some reason these members don't go on anymore...my guess is they have either recovered or it doesn't even bother them anymore.
  10. I don't really know what you mean by "see the air" but I hope that's a step in the right direction. As for wobbly edges I dunno what to say I just try to fight the strange urge to constantly stare at them. Yknow it's not gonna make it any better by looking at them all the time.
  11. Good luck! I'm sure you'll pass
  12. Did your symptoms ever go back to baseline? How long has it been since you've tripped and how bad is it now?
  13. Yeah is this study just for people with HPPD or what? Also can a 16 year old participate?
  14. Yeah I just eat whatever I want. That means chips, all kinds of frozen food, fast food, ice cream etc but pizza is my main weakness lol. I mean I stopped drinking coffee (which I rarely did anyways) but I'm not gonna let this make me not eat my favorite foods.
  15. Ugh if I could go back in time and stop myself from smoking the first 6 months of HPPD I think I'd be cured by now. I really wish I can smoke after my visuals go away but I have a bad feeling it will bring symptoms back
  16. Hey how does absinthe affect your symptoms? I've heard it's neurotoxic but I don't think there's been much research on it. I've always wanted to try absinthe but I'm scared it'll make visuals worse.
  17. Well that's good I guess then...I can't really say the same haha. At least my case is mild. There are a couple positive things about HPPD though like the trails and the afterimages make pretty colors everywhere.
  18. So did you have tramadol WDs after or before recovering? How did they affect your symptoms? Also I'd lay off the nitrous if I were you
  19. yeah I know what your talking about. for me its this certain type of fabric. Whenever people wear it around me it looks like its flashing. Also carpet. If I stare at carpets for a while then the snow goes crazy and everything starts getting suuuper trippy. The other thing that really trips me out are blinds. They always look like they're moving and they seem to make the worst most annoying afterimage. BTW I also work at a grocery store. I'm a bagger but I only do it one day a week because that shit drives me crazy lol (and I have school). I actually find that symptoms kind of go away at work.
  20. What do you mean mgrade...like you could make your vision turn negative? what do you mean by BLACK lol? Anyways I dont really get CEVs. Most of the time I just start seeing geometrical shapes/patterns in my snow after closing my eyes for a while. That doesn't really count as a CEV because it's in my snow but whatever. this used to surprisingly not bother me at all but now it freaks the shit out of me. I guess that's because it rarely happens now. But one time in mid spring I found like 4 or 5 4 leaf clovers one day and then whenever I closed my eyes I would see clovers for like the next 2 weeks. It wasn't bad at all...just weird. The attached image is pretty much what I saw whenever I closed my eyes.
  21. I think a quarter pound is only 4 ounces but I could be wrong. But damn dude I hope you had a pretty high tolerance cuz thats a lot of weed for just a month, especially when HPPD makes you a lot more sensitive to it. I kind of know what you mean about the benzos, too...but tbh it's really unhealthy to take recreational amounts for a long period of time. I read a lot about the long term effects of benzo abuse over a long period of time and one of them is damage to the GABAa receptor...that means that it could make HPPD worse in the long run. Keep in mind that's after long term use of really high amounts though. Also you just shouldn't be so naive about addiction, it really isn't that easy to stop. I've watched some family members lives get ruined by addiction and one of them is in jail now. Besides, I find that benzos are more similar to alcohol than weed anyways, so if your just trying to recreate that stoned feeling then look elsewhere.
  22. I think you are experiencing some form of pre-hppd...in between my 2nd and third trips I also saw some trippy patterns in the center of my vision. After my 3rd trip I woke up with many more symptoms . I'd say that you definitally need to never do psychedelics or MDMA ever, as those are the main culprits. Are you a big drug user or was this just a one-time spiritual thing? In any case you should think twice the next time you smoke some pot or drink because these have both "unlocked" full hppd for some people. Anyways for now just try and ignore it if you can...I know it sounds hard but that's how I got my patterns to kind of fade into visual snow. Haha that might not sound very reassuring but any residual effects from the acid you get will probably fade away over time.
  23. HPPD really sucks dude. How long have you had it anyways? Its great that you stopped drug use and it sounds like your symptoms are improving so that's good.
  24. MDMA use can cause hppd. It sounds like you got hppd too. If you don't want the symptoms to progress then you'll definitally need to sober up...or at the very least stop using ecstasy and cut back on the pot. It sounds like you have mild symptoms now which is a good thing compared to people who didn't stop drug use after they first started noticing symptoms.
