If you keep messing with these shtty drugs, legal or illegal, sooner or later your "drugs of choice" will become lipitor, viagra, and aricept.

I'm not sure if i read this right.......The question is: Did you have HPPD before you started the SSRI? .....SSRI can give you nasty migraine-like symtoms esp. if you have HPPD.......or not they could help you too maybe.......But it is definitely possible you and Lexapro just ain't gettin' along. There are people who can get HPPD-like symtoms from low-sugar, lack of sleep, and dehydration, so, also considering the side effects of this drug, HPPD-like symtoms are absolutely possible with an SSRI. Whether it is truly HPPD, I am not sure.

sorry.....didn't mean to sound so stupid.........if you get DP, breathe into a paperbag .........or roll around on the floor.......seriously this worked for me (moaning: optional)........ get someone to massage the base of your skull: where you head meets your neck, about 1 inch below that knot ........drink some water, do a deep cough...................sigh...................slow down..............................lay down and watch some TV................... breathe slowly and concentrate on the exhale

Yeah ....Ozzy's got ADD and depression and i think he still smokes weed now and then.......the main thing that he has, is: brain damage. And it wouldn't surprise me if he has had bouts of HPPD or psychosis.

1998 is right. Though, i think that if anxiety/panic are going to cause you undue trauma, benzos are not going to hurt. Nobody should feel pressured to partake in any drug-taking no matter what the drug, legal or illegal. But believe it or not, a lot of prescription drugs help. The discovery of penicillin certainly gave the average life expectancy a least 10 years. ....And if you have a headache, taking two asprin is not reprehensible. Nobody can force you to take anything you don't want, even doctors. So make a decision for yourself. I guess you could try some supplements but about that i don't know much.

Sadly, I have found HPPD to be detrimental to my math skills. Nevertheless, i think if you try very hard, you can actually excel in writing. It's not that my math skills are gone, it's just that some of MY spacial reasoning and spacial relations/processes in my "mind's eye" are somewhat gone. I have a harder time envisioning images in my head. Maybe you can relate. ....of course, your quickness with math problems will be hurt a bit. I would say it's akin to reading the same sentence 3 or 4x to get the actual meaning. But that's what HPPD does, worsen mental clarity. Anti-Deps and ADD med. are your options, if you actually have dep/add symtoms. .....Listen man, HPPD is really bad for a math persons mind. Reading people is not nearly as bad. People who like fiction, forget it, it's not that bad. But try to write a Physics book with HPPD. I'm a math person,got 720 on math sats. Now I feel like i can barely understand my bedroom, much less the universe. You got to reduce stress, stay sober, go to a psychopharmacologist, take some asprin/iboprofen/little benzo, and drink some water and get some sleep. Probably in 3 years you'll be 110%.

It is standard procedure for psychopharmacologist to usually only prescribe Xanax to people who have been on Xanax for a while and people who are addicted to Xanax. Valium, Klonopin and Ativan are less addictive, i believe, than Xanax. V/K/A-->They can be abused and probably are addictive to an extent. But according to 1998, having HPPD alone seems to be handicap enough to dissuade you from getting your license and driving. There are old people who can barely see who have licenses. I think taking 1/8 mg of Lorazepam, is fine to drive on.

Hope-----i done got a varicocele for 15 years ...........wear briefs, no boxers. Do what it takes to increase circulation. There is also a pair of doctors in Israel who have invented a technique for fixing these problems and are world experts and hypothetically you could go there and have this operation done to alleviate the problem. update---i think it's Gat-Goran technique----look up these 2 docs

hey mandy----xanax is a bad idea 'cause of addiction and seizure possibilities. Try Lorazepam (short acting) or Clonazepam (longer lasting). in America, these drugs are: Ativan and Klonopin (respectively). There are probably like 10-20 different benzos (approx.), most of them outdated and have weird side effects.
