  1. mgrade: i have something to report about cortisol ... I was sick last week and i consume for several days 4mg of vitamin c (every day). Once cured the cold I kept doing it and notice a big difference, emotionally (less anxiety) and some visual (now I see only one moon!, when i looked before 1 1/2! Sunsets also looks better: D ). The only explanation (i think) is the large amounts of vitamin C that I take in the morning (along with omega 3 and glutamine) lower down some cortisol levels. Also, my dose of klonopin isnt change and is the only med i take. By the way, very interesting your last theory
  2. Interesting.... i hope that robots come quickly to southamerica
  3. ivan: unfortunately all doctors diagnose the disorder under the label of "depression, anxiety, blah blah blah." In regards to what you've described, depersonalization is exactly that (at least for me and a great majority) If you have overcame that, I applaud you. You only need to remove the grainy vision, which I'm sure will happen soon.
  4. Thanks for the info! At the moment i cant buy enough keppra for more than 2 weeks (damn is really expensive) but is something im will do in the future. You still take 1500mg of keppra?
  5. Great! another nice recovery story! Thank you so much for sharing your experience dude! I hope someday wake up and feel normal again.... Are you still on klonopin?
  6. Are you taking any meds? (for the possible interaction with poppy)
  7. Maybe the dose was very little. In that case, a great reduction of VS is great news, you can take a vacation sometime (with precaution)
  8. mayby: I have all the symptoms you experience and also were triggered by an SSRI (imagine the depression that caused to me), 6-7 months earlier i had taken two doses of LSD, and was a regular marijuana smoker....so i dont know which drug make this. However since i suspended the ssri some visual symptoms decreased significantly. Be patient and dont lose hope. It's easy to get depressed or return to old habits. dont drink, dont smoke, stay sober..
  9. Thank you very much for your answer mgrade. It's true what you say about OCD, obvious for someone with DP- HPPD any neurosis its like a gigantic wave. I dont know if you experience a kind of fluctuation in your dp-dr, as your memory comes and goes, or suddenly your vision becomes clearer. I'm trying to define which of the supplements I am taking is one that gives me such mental states. PD: Visual come back!!
  10. How you get that? i dont want to try it, im just curious. Is not a tree? (kratom)
  11. This is very confusing to me. Naloxone / suboxone etc. are not opioid antagonists receptors? Oxycodone / Vidodin / methadone are not agonists? I have long been thinking of trying some of these medications and it seems contradictory and confusing that some people experience changes with agonists and others with antagonists ....
  12. qaiphyx and mgrade: this is the most interesting post I've read in a while. I really appreciate the effort, information and knowledge you sharing. So far, we have spoken mainly of visual phenomena of the disorder, but what do you think of the related disorders as DP-DR, tinnitus, muscle tension, OCD ... etc? Some people claim to experience a decrease in symptoms under the influence of opiates, so perhaps the kappa opiod receptor is also linked. Something I would like to add: regardless of my emotional states HPPD-dpdr started after taking 20mg of paxil for about a week. When i cutt of the paxil some visual distorsions dissapear.
  13. I check the links you left. I pay attention to the post about HPA dysfunction in dpselfhelp.com. While one of the sources is of dubious character, several users say find a marked improvement in his dp-dr taking certain supplements. Unfortunately some of thats supplements arent available in my country so I am researching how to get something equivalent. I have read that certain adaptogenic herbs can regulate the HPA axis imbalances. Have checked your levels of cortisol?
  14. really interesting post dude!! there's a lot of good info in dpselfhelp. Thanks for sharing this
  15. I says this a lot of times: DPDR sucks!!! The sense of time for me is really slow. My memory is always fucked up, and sometimes i dont know if i do something or im just dreaming.
  16. I'm not think opium as a cure, but as a "reliever" or something similar. The level of dependence is not as high and it can eliminates any state of anxiety that you have. The problem is that out of fashion: D and someone should take the trouble to cultivate and see what happens.
  17. Sorry about that friend. I also had to suspend the trial of sinemet by strange sensations and low pressure (once I was under so much pressure that I fainted directly). It is a matter of keep trying until you find the right treatment.
  18. Someone has tried to smoke opium? theoretically it should produce same effects...
  19. 3 weeks ago, I took the first big step solving one of my biggest personal trauma. I felt a great relief to emotional level (DP sufferers know that strong emotions are not common), and two days later, something strange happened with my vision. That day I had taken a caffee early in the morning that did not raise my visuals. Approximately 7 hours after I took my usual dose of 0.5 klonopin. Moments later, in the car of a friend I began to notice that something unusual was happening with my vision. Maybe some of you have a slight "tunnel vision" which then disappeared. I remember looking at my hands and all the scenery around me, it is difficult to explain. I did not have to force myself to focus, I was watching in HD. The trails, afterimages, etc. remained but never bothered me too much. Now I can focus and read / play on the PC without much effort. For this strange episode i stop to visit this site every day, I was obsessing too much with hppd and symptoms. And i was doing the exact opposite that in dpselfhelp recommend to overcome depersonalization. I have no explanation for the visual change. Obviously the fight continues, the fight against those moments when I think "oh no i cant handle this anymore?" but I know that have only tested 10% of the tools to combat this disorder. Best wishes to all
  20. Pretty interesting....im gonna read it. I remember the recovery post of some guy in this forum who' told about doing maths and play chess
  21. My stomac hurts a little when i wake up, but maybe is the ibuprofen (or the extreme cold weather), some weeks i take it several days.
  22. I have already told you (i think): stop visiting this website for a while. If you can drive, drive far. Do what you make feel fine and distract yourself. By the way, is a E30?
  23. When i suffer the first panick attacks and dp-dr, it was very strange but the weed set my anxiety and dr-dp (when i go down) off. But after a few days i got full dp-dr and later the visuals. Dont smoke...wait a year and see what happens with your mild hppd. I repeat, you dont want to trip 24/7.
  24. In my opinion is a very high risk. Sometimes I would like to smoke some weed but being constantly in a state of constant dp-dr doen't want to do it again. If your HPPD is mild, believe me, you dont want the version 2.0.
