  1. Ay... been there to. I started meditating to accept my problems and thoughts and to get to the very beginning of everything even before the HPPD. It is defenetly also possible to work on yourself while under medication. They dont differ your personality. Suicidal thoughts are something heavy. Also look besides from HPPD why you feel that way. It may be hard first but 1 year of progress and I am from suicidal + depressed to happy more often and pretty decent mental state. Yeah I still got mental anxiety but I know now that there is nothing wrong with me. Its just the circumstances I was confronted with. Defenetly looking forward to improve mental stability as I find more and more trust in my actions. Maybe a small tip if you have these suicidal thoughts or whatever bad thoughts try to think them to a end. Then you may loose your fear against them. But really just talking will help a lot to. So look for a therapist just to talk about every single problem of yours.
  2. Its most likely to co excist... but you could say if you have depression you shouldnt take drugs because you have a higher risk to have a bad experience leading to hppd or even worse...
  3. Maybe its not the HPPD that is causing your bad feelings.
  4. The question is.. do you really want to be on medication for the rest of your life. Of course drugs will make you feel better. But as you know they can also cause persisting perception disorders. I once tried Lamotrigine.. it is okay for 2 days then I got terrible headache. I dont know if medication is the way. I would always say try it without first. You may wont cure your visuals but you can work a lot with your anxiety and stuff. Its worth trying. Your current emotions are temporary yes. But they come back from time to time and influence you unconsciosly till you finally realize you need to cope with them. It sounds like you think these emotions come out of nowhere. Thats not it I think. These are your emotions dont try pushing them away with drugs...
  5. Please dont make an excuse out of your HPPD. Dont make depression something caused by HPPD. Its more likely HPPD caused by depression. I am sure if you work on your anxiety and wake up to your problems you will turn out fine. Go meet a psychatrist if he says you have depression believe him please :). There wont be a cure for HPPD. Because these visuals are objectively seen just visuals. The feelings and anxiety are the bad part. And it would be to easy to say these came just with HPPD. I am pretty sure there were there before (maybe unconsciously) and that you need to work on them. Drugs most likely just stronger your already excisting feelings and thoughts. Maybe it was to much for your brain to handle. Not maybe. It was to much. Now you need time to rehab. Take this time for self care. If you do so things will get better. Good luck!
  6. What do you mean by your HPPD gets worse? Just your visuals or your overall feeling? Because maybe than there is some bad experience with food in general. Eating disorders are very common these times. Not everything is caused by your HPPD.
  7. Yeah it is important to accept the way your perception is right now and thats its often related to anxiety. When I am in stress I witness the change in perception and dr/dp. Also people who take xanax often have less 'problems with HPPD. Xanax most likely turns down your anxiety and anger and puts you into a chill mood. So working on your anxiety (of course without xanax ) could maybe also better your perception. Especially derealisation I think.
  8. To me: I am 20 and have had HPPD since 4 years. I am from germany so please forgive my bad writing. So what can be said about HPPD? HPPD what I think is always 2 things: The visual and the feelings that come with it. The visual itself is neutral. You cant "feel" the visual. The visuals may trigger feelings but feelings=feelings, visuals=visuals, agree? Out of this understanding it doesnt matter how your eyesight is. The feelings (anxiety, anger, sadness, frustration) are the thing you need to put your energy on. You cant really help yourself clear the vision (it will happen by itself or never) but with your feelings you can do a lot. And the end of the journey may be a forfilling life... Stop wasting all your time waiting for a medicament that will clear the eyesight. Even if smth like this comes out it wont make you feel any better. Break the illusion that your "bad" situation is only related to your eye sight. That is and will always be fake. Yeah having this condition in your vision isnt the best at all I understand but its not as huge as you make it. The real "problems" are somewhere else in you... trust me. And with that you could now start the process of self care! Start accepting yourself! Start taking yourself serios! Start trusting yourself again! My way was and is meditation (zen). But you can do anything. Yoga, therapy and and and... 2022 is the easiest year to get depressed and sad and shit but also the easiest way to get happy and thankful! You legit just have to google how! If you dont start getting out of your comfort zone your whole life gonna be like this. Do you want that? Sorry for being so harsh. Best wishes. ^^
  9. can you do like a list of everything i need to take
  10. 4 days into lamotrigine.... causing depression, headache, and struggle to sleep I think lamotrigine may helps in a long term but I wont do this for 6 months if my condition stays like that
  11. https://www.eve-rave.ch/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=43241 Vielleicht ein guter Ansatz!?
  12. Something I forgot while doing the survey is to add that I did a MRI and the results were an empty sella. Maybe thats important. I dont know.
  13. In 2 days I have a meeting with my psychiatrist. We were talking about lamotrogine and setraline. Will not do that now. Maybe only setraline. Here is a article about case reports in medical treatments https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3736944/ (Table 2, scroll down) I am looking for only sertraline but willing to add risperidone.
  14. Also watch this post about HPPD case reports https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3736944/ a very informative article about medical treatments.
  15. Also watch my latest post "HPPD free for at least some seconds?" A video that in fact even cures HPPD for a moment. I have mixed feelings about your concerns
  16. I think you should just avoid watching negative conent. Like Horror or such. Most likely these things can be very stressing for someone with HPPD. (At least for me...)
  17. Hey, you want a video about HPPD relief? Here! Do not look away. Watch closely for the full time. For me at least 90 per cent of the HPPD was gone for some seconds. Let's yourself belief in some way :). Have a good day!
