james329103
My HPPD has defiantly decreased since getting it back in 2020 and I believe it still very slowly improves. As it improves in very small increments, it can be difficult to notice progress.
kasco
I’m in the same boat. I’m a little over 3 years into it and some days I feel like it’s almost over and others I feel like it’s hopeless. It happens in such small increments that it’s hard to notice, but I’ve noticed that sobriety makes the increments a little larger. Drinking is the least harmful in my opinion, but it’s still something I barely do as being hungover with HPPD is hell. I believe you’ll find peace and be rid of the symptoms soon, just take it a day at a time.
Fawkinchit
Yes! Definitely, maybe not likely, but I did have significant improvements after about 5 years. Some of the most improvement actually.

I was seeing improvement every year since getting this four years ago until a recent setback
brake
I read about other posters curing after around 5 years. I also read about an R&B singer who said she had minor visual disturbances (not as intense as HPPD) after using LSD that lasted 10 years. I think after 10 years it's safe to say you will have it forever.

I will say that before I was put on Klonopin, my symptoms definitely improved, like kasco said-in small increments. Sometimes I would go days to a week without being bothered by symptoms. Then I would have a flare, but eventually go back to baseline. I heard that it’s different for everyone though. My motto is- there’s always hope! 1
