  1. it should help with magnesium being somewhat of a depressant/calmer, I cant specifically remember how but lol at magnesium oxide not being a good source of magnesium, thats laughable. It does help with the anxiety as well. Also lemon balm is good. also in response to the poster above me magnesium citrate and magnesium oxide are different compounds, just because they both have magnesium does not mean they will have similar effects.
  2. ....... kinda answered your question there.....
  3. There will definitely be some improvement but it takes a long time, anything beyond about 1-2 years you shouldn't see much improvement. I would also strongly disagree with your psychiatrist and Dr. Abraham on putting you on zoloft, they honestly sound like they have no idea what they are doing, SSRIs increase serotonin levels via reuptake inhibition, and are in fact, some what essentially causing the same end effect that MDMA did, although MDMA floods the receptors with serotonin I believe, so essentially you'd be creating a mediocre effect of what cause you to get HPPD in the first case. How either of those two "doctors" think thats a good idea is beyond me.
  4. Maybe everything is a mental illness as well? Or atleast with that line of thinking you could go that far so why not just run with it I assume? Maybe eating is a mential illness as well.... OR... MAYBE, eating is real, and in reality, and so are all the symptoms you listed, and really occur, in REAL space time, and REALLY do bother people and cause them problems. HMMMMMM HPPD has a lot more serious effects as well, effects that have real consequences, extreme anxiety, so bad your hair can fall out, raised blood pressure, raised heart rate, altered realism, altered perception, etc etc etc. Whats so bad about it, ITS NOT NORMAL, essentiallly what youre asking is whats so wrong about aids or cancer or cirrhosis, or salmonella poisoning etc etc etc. Its a disruption of the normal functioning of the body. Which is, in fact.. BAD.
  5. HPPD is often confused with other psychological disorders.
  6. Why on earth are you consuming amphetamines and smoking pot after developing HPPD?
  7. You should be fine I would assume but I dont see the reason for the dye?
  8. Edit: OP is really bad basically and explaining what is being put in to practice here but Stanislov Grof is a psychiatrist who studies hallucinogenic affects etc, primarily those of LSD I gather from his wiki page. Im not exactly sure the the OP is implying as a treatment other than maybe breathing techniques? Also if there is any implication that LSD may be a treatment, thats all together ridiculous, as the venom of a snake doesn't cure the snake bite.
  9. Yah, any time you change certain aspects of your brain there will be other effects, I guess honestly you have to take what you can get, its not a win win situation at all, and medical science has nothing to offer. They just want your money.
  10. Ehhh its up and down as always you know? Of course you know lol. What you been up to lately??
  11. Yah, alot of people complain about visuals the most but honestly the only reason I can understand why is that its the only symptom they have or its easy to recognize that symptom than the others for them. Realistically the anxiety and DP/DR is straight up insane. I dont get DP or DR anymore though just anxiety. DR is insane though. When you feel like you are just an observer of your surroundings and people infront of you talking and you can hear and see them but you feel as though you arent there.
  12. Just because it lessens the HPPD doesnt mean its a direct fix. The steroid your most likely referring to is prednisone(corticosteroid) and has a strong stress reduction effect, as it is naturally released from the adrenal glands in response to stress. This is most likely what is attributing to the lessened symptoms of HPPD. Also, prednisone has very harsh side effects, I would highly suggest you research what you are considering using as a "treatment". Its also highly improbable that inflammation is the cause of HPPD. Im not going to address the reasons as to why.
  13. The lamictal definitely could be worsening your symptoms. What is the specific reason that you were put on it? If its for your symptoms from HPPD your doctor literally has no idea what they are doing and shooting in the dark. Its extremely rare but some people have developed HPPD related symptoms from smoking pot. But hardly any, it probably just brought back your previous HPPD somehow, or you were more susceptible because of it. And yah most people not only dont understand but for the most part they dont care either. Some dont even believe its a real condition, they say its all in your head LOL. But thats just foolish. Its a real condition. You're only six months deep so it should get better but for the symptoms you are describing it definitely sounds like that weed did a number on your brain. Are you sure there wasnt anything else in the pipe, potentially as well if you used a pipe that has residue from other compounds will effect you, so thats a possibility as well. Also I would just drop the Lamictal, unless you have seizures/epilepsy. Also if there are any other supplements or medications PM them to me and I can let you know if they are potentially worsening the symptoms.
  14. Sup mg! how have you been man?? Yup.. gotta love the science community right.
  15. I am, developing a relationship with God is the best thing you can do. If you earnestly seek Him out he will reveal himself to you. The best way we can learn about Him is by reading the scriptures, and come to a better understand who He is and what He expects of us. Let me know if you have any questions and I'd be happy to respond.
  16. Looky looky what I found today... Telomerase "At Harvard, they bred genetically manipulated mice that lacked an enzyme called telomerase that stops telomeres getting shorter. Without the enzyme, the mice aged prematurely and suffered ailments, including a poor sense of smell, smaller brain size, infertility and damaged intestines and spleens. But when DePinho gave the mice injections to reactivate the enzyme, it repaired the damaged tissues and reversed the signs of ageing. "These were severely aged animals, but after a month of treatment they showed a substantial restoration, including the growth of new neurons in their brains," said DePinho." http://www.rexresearch.com/depinho/depinho.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telomerase I wonder if the the neuronal growth was just due to corrected deficiencies in the mice or if telomerase might actually stimulate neuronal growth.
  17. Feel free to add what you found to this thread. Im sure that rats most likely would exhibit the same signs. Most likely though that wouldn't progress things very well. Its pretty obvious that HPPD is a real disorder. Its just a disorder with very little recognition.
  18. Basically thats the assumption that I have come to, not that the receptors are gone, but that specific cells in the brain are gone, its like if you were to damage the visual section of the brain, the eye, though in perfect condition, would become very blurred, such is the same sense I assume in perception of other senses, they are more or less blurred and or uninhibited now. So we have certain symptoms such as vertigo, dp/dr, imbalance, severe anxiety, etc. Hence, no pill will alleviate the symptoms, but only hinder them to so speak. Someone on here once gave a good analogy, is like a siren going off in the head, blaring, and the meds, such as sedatives, only dull the sound of the siren, but its still there. No chemical rearrangement in the brain can bring back the lost brain cells, hence the reason that people with cerebral stroke are in vertigo the rest of their lives till they die. Some puking 3 times a day from it. That I assume, would be a nightmare somewhat comparable to ours. Btw if you find the page that I mention in my first post in this thread, you can go to it and read how its shown that the cells are damaged through hallucinogen usage. It goes through the whole process and is better explained in later pages. Basically, brain cells commit suicide when overly stimulated, in which hallucinogens do.
  19. I will check it out when I have time. Thanks Mg. Btw I sent you a PM.
  20. Down regulations is temporary. Damage to specific neurons is permanent, Damage by HPPD is permanent.
  21. Can the blind cause themselves to see? Can the dumb think in to themselves speaking? And can the deaf but hear with a thought of their own?
