  1. Damn, just found out that Oxy is an opioid....see? I really do know fuck all about pills. I know Kratom can really aggravate HPPD, ive read permanently, so I guess Oxycodone is also a nono...right? hahaha, I'm not willing to be the guinea pig.
  2. My friend offered me some the other day. Now, i'd never be the one to pop pills, or get addicted to that shit, I'd do it once or twice maybe and thats it, plus theyre not that easy to get where im at, but the girl im dating seems to wanna try em so what the heck. My question is, how would it affect my HPPD? Ive stopped smokin and drinkin, so I wouldnt mind a bit of an artificial high, honestly. Lemme know! And please spare me the morality hahaha I know how fucked up pills are. Thanks guys, keep on.
  3. Hey guys... Pre-hppd I would always donate blood, I feel like it's an easy way to really do one of the best things anyone can do, but now I dont know how it would adversely affect my HPPD...Do any of you donate blood? Would you recommend it? I wouldnt mind feelin a bit sluggish afterward, and I certainly wouldnt mind actually being able to fall asleep without passing out from exhaustion!!
  4. Hey man, have you ever suffered from migraines? HPPD like symptoms often manifest themselves in people around 18-20 who suffer from migraines or seizures. You'd be better of logging onto thosewithvisualsnow.yuku.com. While the symptoms overlap, the causes are different, I think you'd find their situations alot more similar to yours. Alot of people with HPPD recover after ceasing drug use for a while, it's more drug related than strictly neurological. Ill keep you in my thoughts bro. Idk why thats italicized btw, my computer wouldnt unitalicize it. haha.
  5. And one day, in some way or another, it will man. Buhlee dat.
  6. I smoked a few hits off a blunt of it one day, I dont know why. Then again I also tried a quarter of a line of coke and thought my head was gonna explode hahaha. But yeah man, I honestly feel like that stuff is bad for you, even if you dont have HPPD, stay away from that garbage man! Be safe. And yeah man, I smoked weed pretty constantly since december, even though it made me anxious and I knew it was affecting my symptoms...we all falter man, im sure youll come back to baseline eventually, my afterimages got worse, but the rest has been slowly improving...it's hard to drop your lifestyle man, i guess i did it to appear, and feel, somewhat normal...and it made me pretty apathetic...at least i was high.
  7. Alright dude, what is this candida shit? My eyes sting too, not too bad, and the symptom left for a while, but lately it's been comin back, along with the itchy-zappy scalp, pretty annoying. Sometimes it's like a little pin prick to the eye, it sucks and then it does sting alot. Now that i think about it, alot more shit happens to my left eye than my right...think i could have candida?
  8. The thing is, I honestly couldnt tell you if it's been helping or not...i'd been smoking rather constantly because I felt that if I was seeing shit, at least I wasnt seeing shit sober...it helped me for a while, but the ghosting started worsening and I decided to stop in a rather abrupt manner... So idk...and id never really heard of candida before, im kinda scared to read up about it because I dont wanna go all hypochondriac and anxious on myself...guess ill just have to wait and see what happens, really considering starting on keppra soon if things keep gettin worse...I can handle my symptoms now because they were always stable, and Id almost be willing to think in decline...but now idk, Ive been losing my train of thought alot lately, but then I look back, I dont really get twitches or head jolts or like searing pain in my eyes and stuff
  9. Boogres fish oil was recomended on the old forum on numerous posts so I doubt it makes HPPD worse but a few members literally tripped balls while taking including myself... and now I take it daily as part of my anti-candida regime. Thats sketchy though, I couldnt keep taking anything that I knew made it worse for some people. What about Valerian Root? Does Anyone have any experience with that? I read that it acts on the benzo receptors, and it certainly curbs my anxiety a bit, but I do feel some pressure in my head not long after taking it... And dude could you expand on your eerily similar keppra experience?
  10. Dude, I finally quit drinkin on sunday. I do have a much milder case as well, but I guess I overdid it, and I've been feelin out of it for the past week, not to mention dissociated, and some symptoms have gotten a bit worse as well. Smoking makes my symptoms noticeably worse, but I dont feel nowhere near as out of it the day after in comparison to when I drink, and my symptoms are usually back to baseline by the time I wake up...Maybe thats just me though
  11. Fish oil makes your hppd worse? Ive been takin it like 6 pills daily, you think it's affecting me in adverse ways? And dude I only see ONE squiggly out of, i just realized, my left eye...out of my right I see more like eye liquid in general, but squiggly squiggly (haha) it's strictly out of my left...is this normal for hppd? I guess it's not a bad thing, but since i barely see like hallucinations, i'm thinkin my HPPD might be more of a neurological condition associated with a heavy episode of PCP on laced weed? Would that be the same as HPPD?
  12. Hey man, just wonderin how you were doin, been keepin you in my thoughts bro
  13. What happened man? i do believe in god and signs and shit....definitely. And don't worry, ive had HPPD for 7 months and many of my symptoms have cleared. I dont even have anxiety anymore. I got through college during the worst stage, hell, i ended up with straight A's, better than when I was smokin all day and shroomin every weekend. Have faith....The thought of starting college like this scared the shit out of me...but life comes at you man, and its gonna keep coming and you just have to deal with it because ive found that nobody, not even your friends, take pity on you. Thats life man. You can choose to stand still and live in fear, or you can accept it and try to move forward. Only when you stop dwelling on the WHAT IFs and accept it, only then will you get better. It's the first step, but it's also the most crucial one. Boogres.
  14. I used to. Then I stopped. Then I got better. And now I do again
  15. Hey guys...finally got my shit in order, ready to start letting myself heal. Got a shitton of books (good luck readin those right? lol) to keep my brain stimulated and my thoughts off drugs and alcohol. Quit cigs. And I'm actually feeling happy, almost restless and manic. Just wondering which meditation techniques have worked for you guys? Any specific exercises? Gonna get into power yoga soon, but i also wanna do shit thats purely mental and endorphigenic...any suggestions?
  16. The first step on the road to recovery is attitude. A positive attitude will vanquish your anxiety. And you CAN get better. You may or you may not, but there are many documented cases of FULL recovery. Zach Seif is living proof of that. Recovery cases are more common in threads on bluelight and the shroomery, i run into them all the time.
  17. Valerian Root helped my anxiety. It's practically gone now.
  18. One more, I also had brain fog in middle school, i always thought it was ADD. I had this annoying head pressure that i have now once more thanks to hppd. Consensus is that for most people stimulants make hppd symptoms worse, and im guessin youre on addy or ritalin or somethin. Idk how it works for VS, but you might wanna look into it.
  19. Also, your heartrate goes up because your symptoms get you anxious. I know its hard when youre seein shit youve never had before, but you MUST try to remain calm. My anxiety was never crippling or anything, so I keep it under control with valerian root...some say its placebo but meh
  20. Hey man, id recommend goin on http://thosewithvisualsnow.yuku.com/ HPPD online is for people with VS caused by certain drugs, while the symptoms are similar, the causes are different and so is the physiology.. Most people here had no idea VS existed pre-hppd. Do you suffer from migraines or seizures? Might be related...sorry to hear about your struggle man, good luck.
  21. Damn man, I thought that Keppra was pretty symptom free but now idk. I thought about Mirtazapine too, but from what ive read it makes your symptoms worse before they get better. Even mild SSRIs like St Johns Wort (even 2 pills) make my symptoms noticeably worse. As far as Keppra goes, many many horror stories online, this one kinda gets the gist and is sketchin me from tryin it... ""My husband was put on this "drug" while in the hospital. He was prescribed Keppra because he was having brain seizures. Let me tell you. This drug should be taken off of the market according to the hospital. His personality changed so rapidly and violently that he had to be restrained in his hospital bed. He started having tremors of the arms and legs and physically assaulted me and one of the nurses on duty. He had hallucinations and tore the IV out of his arms because he thought that they were spiders crawling up his arms. All the medical staff said that it was because of the Keppra. His Neurologist said that all of his patients have reacted this way with Keppra. My question was why he used my husband as a test subject when knowing what this medication would and could do. Every single nurse and/or medical professional I have talked with about Keppra has said the same thing. Do Not Take It! He had no other medications that could have attributed to this reaction, so please if you do need to use this medication, use it with supervision and care. My husband is normally a very shy, quite loving individual and this medication turned him into a raving maniac."" And mandrake, i'm really sorry about your withdrawal man, i agree its all fuckin bullshit, but we just gotta keep keepin at it because what else is there to do? I'm gonna really think about Keppra though. As of now idk...more tales from my fellow HPPDers would definitely be appreciated. Cheers
  22. Hey guys, thinkin bout startin on a keppra regimen soon.. can you guys tell me your experiences with this drug? Has it made anyone's symptoms worse at all? Also, do you think that taking keppra without taking klonopin or a benzo will work fine? I'm not lookin to get myself addicted, especially after goin on benzowithdrawal.com which someone posted earlier and reading the stories. Cheers guys.
  23. Scroll down the forum man, theres a page called "Healed from a Medically Diagnosed case of HPPD."
  24. I remember when I was young I used to get head pressure too, it'd come and go, but it made me feel foggy, and I always thought that it was some form of ADD. It went away around freshman year of college, coincidentally enough, after my second trip on mushrooms--or third idk. I was at that "its all in your head" stage, and it got me to love shrooms even more. Upon HPPD onset, i felt the pressure, never had racing thoughts onless a panic attack was coming on, but it's been going away, even though i still smoke weed on occasion. My ears used to pop ALL the time too, and now that seems to be going away as well.
