  1. Just had surgery for a broken arm. Put me on a benzo right before putting me under general, and when i came to i felt fine. There has been, as far as i can tell, no discernible change in symptoms. They did give me tramadol for pain, but upon reading that it's an SnRI i decided to soldier on solely with tylenol. It does hurt but you should be fine.
  2. Merkan from what ive gathered 5htp is bad right? I had a toblerone yesterday, and things felt and looked worse. What about foods high in 5htp such as dairy products and meat?
  3. She doesnt really know. I was lucky to get this. Ill just take it at night, hope for something.
  4. Hey guys, starting Keppra today, my doctor, after much heated deliberation, finally relented. She prescribed 250mgs once a night, which feels like a lot. What do you guys think I should do?
  5. I definitely experience body pains, and it didnt start with HPPD but with DP/DR...
  6. Valerian Root really helped me passout in the beginning man, helped my anxiety too, id give that a try...although eventually i was poppin em during the day, and i guess i built a tolerance to it as well, but it did help me quite substantially for a few months...placebo or not, who gives a fuck...be careful though, because if youre very tired theyll put you right awake...
  7. Hey guys, Ive read that this drug helps DP/DR and the fog, which are honestly the most troubling symptoms to me...can you guys let me know your experiences with this drug please, as well as appropriate dosages, how many times per day etc?
  8. Hey guys, Ive read that this drug helps DP/DR and the fog, which are honestly the most troubling symptoms to me...can you guys let me know your experiences with this drug?
  9. Finally came out of the closet to my parents--so to speak haha

  10. DP/DR can definitely be separated. It is not, in my opinion, a defense mechanism the body adopts to deal with the hallucinations...i know because i had hppd symptoms for 6 months before i accidentally drank caffeinated ginger ale, and BAM, just like that, I got DP/DR...strictly chemical....Hppd didnt and doesnt really make me anxious anymore...it's the DP/DR that made me finally seek help...it's a bitch, and that weird neck feeling it came along with makes me feel really uncomfortable...body aches increased also...and it came with cognitive impairments that i didnt have pre DP/DR, muscle twitches increased as well...
  11. http://benzowithdrawal.com/forum/ Not pretty man...valerian root helped me a lot at the beginning, i would give that a try if i was you...some say it's placebo but man, it made my life a lot easier, back then and now as well, because i now dont have to go through hell with withdrawals thatll worsen my hppd...and fish oil, see how it makes you feel...some people here trip balls when they take it, and i myself found that instead of abating my symptoms, it actually gave me more of that weird shock feeling in the scalp...multi vitamins arent bad though, and exercise is a must! Good luck brother, we're all here to help you out...
  12. Opiates mightve triggered my DP/DR (to be fair it couldve also been caffeine so idk.) But they definitely worsened my symptoms, especially on the days after, definitely but not so much in the long run, but ive never seen heavier trails and after images than i have when coming down from oxycodone.
  13. Yeah dude, I just finished it two days ago...shot that fuckin cop in the face so many times hahaha...hopefully the undead expansion will be as entewrtaining
  14. Hey guys, Im traveling tomorrow for a bit...i guess im just afraid that the change in pressure might make my symptoms worsen...is this an unfounded fear or have you guys had this experience?
  15. Yeah man, I definitely think that the memory/concentration loss is DP/DR related, ive been having mild episodes ever since i drank some caffeine on accident...it used to be that id get high, wake up and feel out of it for a day or two and then be back to some semblance of normalcy...now, ever since ive felt slightly dissociated again, my thoughts are harder to piece together, my concentration is off to the point where i barely remember/ can focus on what im reading...except this didnt happen til I got DP/DR....
  16. Nah dude, my symptoms arent that hallucinatory so it doesn't make me trip, but i think it did make me foggy...it's hard to tell because i smoked a bunch during those days, but if it makes anyone here trip i just figure it's working more against me than for me anyway..
  17. Theres no way of telling how long it'll last man, all i can say to you, is yes, you seem to have developed some form of HPPD...stop smokin weed and drinkin for a while, exercise and try to keep busy... at the beginning the symptoms are extremely alarming, i feel you on that, but eventually they become your norm and they cease to give you anxiety...thats what you have to wrap your head around first,...dont think about the future in terms of where it might go, just try to think of this as your new norm for a while, and try to keep it out of your head. The most improtant thing from now on is to be clear of drugs bro, you dont wanna have it spiral out of control
  18. Hey guys, just wondering...does vitamin c in your experience help hppd or does it make some of you trip balls like other supplements such as fish oil and shit
  19. I definitely feel drained sometimes, and it's weird because I can sleep well, and still feel absolutely exhausted...however, i attribute my listlessness more to the subjective effects of a bad, lingering PCP experience than I do to HPPD, so I can't say for sure.
  20. In a way man, but when I go to parties and drink and smoke I feel really foggy for 1-2 days after, and as the fog starts to clear, I start feeling happy, clear-headed, almost a bit manic, but thats just always how ive been... Eventually you just kinda get used to it, i pretend to drink a bit and laugh and get loud and noone seems to notice, including myself. if i were to drink and smoke though, Id forget everyones names whom i meet, i stutter, have trouble walking, etc...i see a blunt and I have a VERY hard time not hitting it,even though i know that it's fuckin me up in the long run and not as enjoyable as it once was...You just gotta see where youre at...give yourself some time.
  21. Steer clear man. Give yourself time to heal. Some people who are capable of healing never do so because they are unable to quit drugs and alcohol...theres a "cure gap," but there'll come a time when the brain is no longer developing and what you get is what youre getting for the rest of your life..do you really wanna have HPPD when youre 40, 50, 60?
  22. Opiates make it better while youre on them, but after that shit wears off, my symptoms do greatly increase...I took like 4 vicodins one day and was itching for hoursss haha...not fun...plus i was seeing heavier trails and afterimages for a few days afterward
  23. Who am I to say anything man, I cant quit weed myself...it's the damn brain fog cycle
  24. Just give it up. We've all had to. Would you like to get to the point where a SINGLE BEER will put you in a living hell for days? If you keep at it, one day you're gonna wake up and that static is gonna be the least of your worries man.
