  1. Yeah, can't say the visuals themselves have any advantage, but I've definitely gained wisdom from all the different issues that have come up with this.
  2. Maybe. If it's not, then check out: (if you're into biology) http://www.nature.co...l/1395848a.html Talks about the gene expressions induced by LSD. Because they are abnormal, maybe it's just abnormal connections which then form. Some food for thought I suppose... Try not to obsess though, just makes things worse, you know.
  3. Could be what started it. There's many people who have hppd and took risperdal which aggravated their symptoms. Likely because hallucinogens and risperdal both effect serotonin neurons. I don't know what might be most helpful for you. But, it could just be something subtle like changes in these serotonin receptors which brings these visuals on rather than some rare disorder.
  4. Pancakes, Your visuals may or may not go away over years. But what I think will happen is that even if they don't, you should get more accustomed to them and then you'll start to tune them out more, and focus on other things, which will make you feel better. This is my experience over the past five years.
  5. I had a lot of bad side effects trying keppra too. I decided to wait it out over several months to see if they just needed some extra time to improve. However, things didn't get much better. I definitely noticed having a very angry attitude usually and a quick temper on it. There were some improvements to hppd symptoms, but overall not worth the side effects for me. I've had hppd for many years now and I think now that dealing with my emotional issues is more important than my visual issues. Any treatment that I try which disrupts my emotions negatively, just isn't worth it. A few people have had okay reactions to it so it might be worth a try. But, I'd let it go after a couple months if any bad side effects don't improve.
  6. Yeah, it's a shame to lose all those posts, there was some good info, but, there was also a lot of out-of-date stuff too. Time to evolve.
