  1. Supposedly. With less side effects also.
  2. This is very interesting. I am looking forward to the outcome of this (if any)!
  3. I have an appointment with my Psychiatrist soon and will mention this to him, as well as showing him studies that suggest calcium channel blockers help.
  4. I'm struggling with this stigma, if this hits some form of plateau I would be able to deal with it to some extent, but, as it seems to be increasing daily (especially trails/ghosting) I'm not sure what to do? Am I doing something wrong? Or right? Has anyone else noticed this effect, and what becomes of it?
  5. Where can we get ahold of this? Is it similiar to NSI and requires a group buy?
  6. I wasn't smoking at the time, and weed sorta covered my effects of HPPD. Or atleast that's what I think back in hindsight. I guess after I quit and developed anxiety, my dopamine levels were at an all time low, therefore my HPPD took grasp.
  7. I'm very interested in varapamil as it's a calcium channel blocker, which in the past have shown noticeable affects and potentially future ones also.
  8. Thank you for your reply, I'm curious as to how the TCAS would effect my depersonalization. I've tried Valium, but my tolerance was ramped from 0.5 to 40mg in just over a month. So my tolerance was built very quickly, or either my anxiety was. Either way I didn't enjoy having to swallow 5+ pills at once to feel the same effects as half of one just over a month ago.
  9. ODISA what visuals symptoms were improved if you don't mind adding and to what degree? Would you reccomend this to someone who has mild-severe GAD as a relief? I personally don't take benzos anymore because of this evident withdrawal symptoms and tolerance building aspects.
  10. No problem mate, let me know once you've obtained some credit. I'm from Australia, so I'm unsure if this changes the circumstances of texting. x
  11. Thank you, I will present the study to him and see what his thoughts are and his plans for treatment (if he has any)
  12. I've recently seen that brivaracetam is in phase 3 of it's development and has been scheduled for the last phase in 2014. Anyone else have any information? http://www.google.com/patents/EP2563339A1
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eSfcUzGTdk Enjoy guys!
  14. I have an appointment with a psychiatrist in 2 weeks that has supposedly heard of HPPD before. I am after some points so to speak to give to him in regards to medication and recent developments. Also some plain and obvious do and don'ts to do with HPPD such as SSRIS, anti-psychotics etc. I'd love some comments from some of the more active users: syntheso, onedayillsailagain and so forth.
  15. In english please. I have no idea what any of that says.
  16. It seemed that my HPPD was aggravated when I stopped smoking also. Or maybe when I was just that rendered all the time, I never noticed. But I believe there is some truth to what you are saying, weed makes me calm, but I find that after a couple of days, my visuals tend to increase permanently, or well indefinitely for now. But I've been contemplating starting smoking again to a degree where I'm always calm, but I'm not sure if this is a good idea. I got HPPD on the 26th of may, just the purple flashes at night, but I was smoking all day every day until July the 5th, then I stopped because I had a panic attack. Afterwards, I was on Valium for a month, after I stopped the Valium, my visuals started to increase daily. So I believe this has something to do with one, my anxiety, and two like you stated; dopamine deficiency.
  17. Hey buddy, I too have been thinking about it lately, but, whenever I come to the depressing thought of taking my life and feeling as if it's too much to bear, I think of what it COULD be like if it ever goes away, that relief and stress free life, and then I will be stronger than ever. I know it sounds corny and what not, but it's all I have at the moment, I too have lost relationships and friendships because of this debilitating condition. If you ever need to chat man, hit me up with something I can contact you on and I'd gladly talk to you. Hope you're feeling a bit better now. Keep strong. x
  18. Hello everyone, just a quick discussion here in regards to the colour purple and HPPD and if it's just myself experiencing this or others having the same phenomenon. When I drive at night, blotches of a semi transparent purple seem to appear far ahead in the road, no other colour. When I walk into the toilet and look at the toilet seat, a purple shimmer is surrounding the edges. When I move a white cord over a dark blue carper, a purple wave like pattern is formed. Does anyone else have this colour problem?
  19. Hey guys, just recently I've been in contact with an Australian based psychiatrist who has heard of the condition and is willing to help. His name is Dr. Bill Mantziouris He is on Wickham Tce, Brisbane. His phone number is 07 3831-2233. Hope this helps any Australians going through this.
  20. Has anyone tried the SSRI aropax? My GP seems to think that my HPPD is feeding off my severe anxiety, which I can agree with, but I just wanted to see if anyone has had any experiences with aropax? I tried Lexapro receently, and it made my visual effects worse for 2-3 days significantly, bad nausea, tinnitus etc. Any information would be appreciated. -wooshy
  21. I think I will actually buy this, where did you purchase yours from, was it online or in a store?
  22. Does anyone think it would be beneficial or a good idea to start doing speeches at schools, universities etc to help kids understand the actual real dangers of doing drugs? In relation to HPPD, what it has done, what it can do, and the underlying problems. I think making kids realize that things like this can happen, even though it's very rare, some may be saved from a future life of living with HPPD if they don't take the chance and try it. I never even knew that you could develop such a disorder from eating poisonous mushrooms from the ground. Tell me what you guys think.
