No reasearch has been done, as far as I know... I can't really see it being studied as it is so rare and also comes with so many variables.

I can't see why there would be a link, personally, we are likely to have a predisposition towards mentall illness that may get passed down, but I can't imagine it would go much further.

There have been a number of parents who posted on the old board and I don't remember anyone mentioning their kids had any problems.
