Dubliner Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 I don't get in touch with the hppd community out there as I should. I've been coping, recently, quite well, but for many years terribly, with hppd for 16 years in all. I am an alcoholic to boot as I used the booze to escape, but haven't had a drink now for nearly 4 years. I wanted to say that I thought the video I came across of indigochild discussing coping strategies was excellent, very courageous. Acceptance (as I know only too well) is the key. Well Done.
David S. Kozin Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 I think the 12-step model has a lot of utility for HPPD... dukkha Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 Yeah I think I know the video you're talking about. What was that member's name on the boards? It'd be nice to hear from him. Cheers D
Br0k3nS41nt Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 It would be, he had other videos, last one he posted said he had recovered. My guess he had it for 2.5-3 years.
ramblingon Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 I just went and watched these videos thanks to this thread, and found them very inspiring and helpful. Reminds me of myself a lot and what i'm going through, what I assume a lot of us here are going through.
