Jay1 Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 It seems like hangovers and hppd are a bad mix.... i've had some hellish times. But, drinking is a good laugh and certainly takes my thoughts away from hppd for a while. So.. what are everyone's hangover cures? Klonopin kicks most hangovers into touch, but are there any alternatives you have found?
pennyarcade Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 I don't drink currently but inositol and as much water as you can manage before going to sleep (after drinking) did wonders for me.
pennyarcade Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 I think I actually used to take the inositol before drinking and the water before bed... yeah pretty sure that was it, I read it somewhere and it seemed to work really well for me.
415_stylee Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 A lot of water and a replenishment of vitamins (fruits) before going to bed usually helps me.
1998 Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 Lots of water and I take a vitamin B complex before I drink. I read B vitamins eat away sugar helping you not gain weight from alcohol. I Gotta say only water, benzo's, muscle relaxers and opiates take away my hangovers (sweating it out by exercising if you can force yourself to). I never got them pre-hppd, now they come feeling like crazy migraines. It's the only thing that keeps me from not drinking much anymore lol. I notice since I've become tolerant to klonopin, my hangovers have gotten much worse as well. Take care all!!
brendan Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 3 grams of nac before drinkin, 3 grams before bed. Each time with a gram of vit c and water.
zukov Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 I dont drink because the clonazepam. It's a shame, a love the good wine, beer and jack daniels. I hope left or replace that medication in the future.
Loky Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 Man my hangovers are TERRIBLE!! I usually only have a few beers these days, anything more and the next day is too hard, regardless of how much water I drink the night before. I think it's probably also because hangovers piggyback onto a night of low sleep. Both combined, sets off major DR and crazy visuals. @ Brendan - What is "nac"? Cheers
