  1. I think it's the little things that can knock us over. We are already dealing with so much that any extra can push us over the coping line. So I think any little extra help will make a difference for you. I think the vitamin d is a great idea. I know your morning is already crazy but if you could manage a 20min. Cardo as well I think you would love the effects. Might also counter the extra carbs. I know when depression gets ahold of you it's hard to shake off. I use a fake it till you make it way of life. I keep telling myself I'm happy I walk like I'm happy I act like I'm happy I eat like I'm happy and pretty soon I'm happy. Unfortunately something happens and I have to repeat.
  2. Cute reply but not very helpful. But maybe that's the point..... There is no help
  3. Thank you for your reply. I think all of this info may one day help. I hope anyway.
  4. Sammy... I had a lot of reflux issues I was working out all the time and when it hit I stopped everything. I think it sent me into a depression. I couldn't eat couldn't work out and the PPI meds really screwed me up. It's been almost a year from the start and I'm much better but I gave up a lot of stuff. No caffeine and food restrictions. It's best to go on a liquid diet for awhile and slowly bring other foods in. I drink protein shakes the shakeology from p90x has a probiotic in it which is nice. When you had your scope how were you sedated? Do you take a PPI? Bikram yoga helped me a lot it's a great destresser and you sweat everything out. Are you thinking of a tiff to fix hernia? There are exercises you can do to help bring down the hernia.
  5. I've really wondered if this would help knowing that lack of oxygen makes hppd much worse it would seem to make since that a pure dose of oxygen would help. My holistic dr. Has one but his Is a cheaper version of those used for burn victims. For those of us who are claustrophobic it would make a full MRI look like nothing. Do you think just inhaling oxygen from a tank would help?
  6. Does anyone see faces and images in the dark and stranges things in there peripheral vision. If so how do you deal with it?
  7. I'm just wondering if hppd is just found in Caucasians or if we have other races. It also seems like most members are German. I wonder if that knowledge would help.
  8. Does this happen to anyone else? Sometimes I feel like I'm attacked by noise around me. I have to get away from whatever is creating the noise or shut it off if I can. I become very agitated and have to have some down time with no sound. I was wondering if this could be that my brain is stuck on high beta wave. Listening to alpha or theta waves are suppose to help balance it out. Not really sure about this but would love some input.
  9. Ok first pic someone save the child. 2nd pic your life could always be worse.
  10. Hey hope1 have you looked at pelvic wall syndrome? Might be worth a look there are exercises you can do to strengthen it. Maybe when you ejaculate your causing a spasm. Are you doing any better?
  11. -mg it's good to look at everything I just think that whomever is trying mixing meds it's important to be under a physicians care. Just in case. Having hppd sucks in so many ways because we never know how our chemistry will mix with different meds. I never thought a ppi would effect me in such a bad way. That's all I'm saying is be careful. You are right I do think it's much more dangerous for DT to be using the street drugs and I hope DT sees that and gives the body, mind a break.
  12. Hahaha.... Funny -mg. So why are you not trying your concoction? Enough said.
  13. Why Zantac? I would be really careful with your body you only have one. I used a ppi and it had a neurological effect on me that took me months to get over. My go said it happens to about 20% of his practice. Zantac is just a step down from a ppi. I had sever anxiety and flu like symptoms and then acid reflux with a vengeance. Over the counter meds seem benign but can have some really bad effects or even death. I know trying to find a cure is important I just think it needs to be Done under a dr's care. Take care of your self and be careful.
  14. Find a way to relax like meditation walks anything to help you relax. It will get better with time some people even say it goes away but whatever you do do not use again. Stay way away from drugs it does not mix with your body chemistry.
  15. Good to know. One of my friends is starting it today he suffers from dp and is looking for something to pull him out as am I but my anxity over meds. Is pretty high so when I do take a med. I want to know everything about it. Even though i probably shouldn't know everything I'd do better:)
  16. Isn't betamethasone an anti-inflammatory? I'm just wondering if that's what we are worried about there are alot of pain meds and pain injections (in joints like for spine etc.) people will have to watch out for. I know anti-inflammatory drugs can make tenitus worse but didn't know it could vs.
  17. I haven't heard that about skin problems that's strange. Provigil would in hppd's case be used for cognitive effects make you sharper that kinda think although that's not what it is approved for but it has that effect. Also it is a costly drug so for ins. To cover it your doc. Has to say it's for night shift change. (working nights)
  18. Has anyone tried provigil? I think it's suppose to work differently then the usual add. Meds but still is a smart drug. It is usually used for narcolepsy.
  19. Hope 1 I'm so very sorry! It is not your fault. I can't imagine autism has anything to do with hppd. I know many people truly believe it's environmental. There is an amazing school in Austin Tx. For autistic children. I'm not sure if that's an option for you but they have done and achieved amazing things at this school. Hbo did a documentary them. I felt the same question you had for God REALLY!?! I feel like crawling under something and just hiding forever. It's just not an option for me. Now I as you do have to find strength for our children they need us.
  20. I will definitely check out the pma. Thank you for the idea. When he first told me of he's vision problems (the ants) my heart sunk I thought there was no way how could such an innocent be effect by my bad calls. I did everything I could to put it out of my mind but his fear of the dark was so intense. That's what I noticed the most with him was he was so fearful of the dark. We didn't revisit the issue till he was older then he told me he saw faces in the dark and colors flashing. Later he started having migraines. We have been to one eye doc. About visual snow because it's hard for him to read at times. The dr. Was no help he said it was just the aura of the migraine I explained this is constant 24 7 not just 30min before a killer headache. We didn't even mention the other stuff. I was off all drugs and alcohol years before he was conceived. He's always been very advanced in a strange way he's very deep and to the point in a way most children are not. When you love someone so deeply you never want them to suffer in any way. I know without a doubt Its my job to be there for him always in anyway he may need me.
  21. I would just understand it's a possibility that your child could have it that you could pass it down. I had no idea When I had my child the thought did cross my mind. Just be prepared to keep your child away from all drugs and if he does just have it without the use of drugs like mine be prepared to be there for him/her for life.
  22. My child got hppd from me. At age 6 he said in the dark he was seeing ants marching all over.(visual snow) I let it go and payed it wasn't related. But some years later he started telling me of even more perceptual issues worse then even mine. He has never taken any drug or been around any drug. He has had dental work with laughing gas and antibiotics for respiratory or ear infections and he has an inhaler just for bad times like flu season. That's it. I did breast feed I don't know if that makes a difference. It's really scary when you pass this on because how do you help them:(
  23. I've taken amoxicillin with no problems and I can't take anything without freaking out.
  24. I would go see a pain doctor for sure there are all kinds of injections they can give to help depending o. Weather it is nerve or disc or joint related. Also if you have no ins. If you talk to your doc. And tell him it's out of pocket most good doctors will give you a big discount. Remember whatever the cost ins. Will only reinburs them so much. Some doc.s will even barder if you have a skill like wood working or construction it may take getting to k ow them to put this into play. Also a good pain doctor knows all a out all the pain meds out there and can find one that will suit you he'll keep trying different ones. Sucide is yes a way out but not one for you your sons going to need you so now you live for him. Use every resource out there every med out there keep applying for disability you don't stop trying. Hppd sucks and adding anything on top of that is even worse I know but you chose to have a son and he deserves a dad and that's number one! Do what you have to but get better for him.
