  1. Everyone has some kind of static in the dark - whether it's noticeable or not, it's a natural phenomenon to see red and blue static in the dark (mines diff colours now though). It's the swirly colours and moving blotches I get in the dark. I get slight halos/after images in dim light but that's about it
  2. Have you spoken to people who only got HPPD purely from mdma alone Jay?
  3. Does anyone have the same? I've been pretty lucky to not experience any dp/dr with this stuff, it's fine during the day and I've never been debilitated by my symptoms at all. Except In the dark, where my visual snow is most prominent and I occasionally get light purple/red spirals with dark shadowy things dancing around in my peripheral. It's so bizarre, began occurring after I had my first and only trip on mephedrone. Peoples faces get really staticy as well sometimes in pitch black and that's probably what bothers me the most.
  4. Hey Les, I got my HPPD (so minor it's nothing) from frequent ecstasy use - however it's important to note that these pills could have contained anything, from mdma to ketamine to all kinds of novel substances. So just be careful what you're taking. My HPPD has only ever been minor visual symptoms with no dp/dr, I've been taking mdma and ket in very small doses infrequently with zero effect. Not everyone's the same though, and I do know I'm risking a lot to make my symptoms worse.
  5. great decision man. Telling you right now that leaving this forum for a while will serve you wonders.
  6. Trip into hell - I don't believe you should tell young kids that they're time is running out, let alone your "advice" on this condition. Unless you've done some research in the field neuroscience or the brain, or education at medical school, you shouldn't be telling a teenager in a vulnerable state about your thoughts how his brain is "getting used to HPPD and becoming more incurable". I wouldnt imagine any scientific article would have any grounds in suggesting that, but rather the opposite. Brandon, do your best to find some distractions like sport etc (even gaming, but not too much), and maybe take a break from this forum to stop thinking about it. The moment I started taking time of this forum, the instant I started feeling better.
  7. ^^^^^^ jay is spot on. You don't need meds mate. I wouldn't be surprised if your anxiety is playing a significant factor in your HPPD. Have you thought about SSRI/SNRI medication? It's ill-advised on this board, but my SNRI medication (alongside CBT for 2 months) has done WONDERS. No longer debilitating, and over time my visuals are so very slowly getting less noticeable or going away... But they're going away! Exercising 5 times a week and healthy eating has played a huge role. I can even drink strong coffees daily and has no effect on my anxiety. Lay off the drugs. I've done rec drugs 10+ times since onset with no increase whatsoever... Apart from the recent one, and all it took was 50mg of mdma. You're young, and your brain is still developing. Time is key!!! Seriously, look into treating your anxiety before HPPD. Because doctors and psychs are trained to do that.
  8. If you think you can't enjoy life without drugs, then I think you need to take a step back and find something else to do. You can't do drugs forever without expecting any long term health risks.
  9. anxiety for sure... Brandon I think you need to spend less time on these forums! Don't take offense but it's not helping you long term treating the anxiety... Spending too much time on here makes you think about your HPPD too often, and even though venting is a good short term anxiety reliever, doing it too much/too often means it's taking up a lot of your life! Any CBT psychologist will you tell you the same.
  10. I'm not a doctor but cmon, any doctor (even ones who take drugs) will tell you disassociatives for people with dp/dr is just not worth the risk. You don't need "big amounts of weed", after getting HPPD it's a sign for all of us that moderation is key... Provided you want to take this risk again.
  11. that's crazy man, congratulations - I still have v mild HPPD, been a year with Barely any improvement. I feel like I've baselined wit very minuscule symptoms and yet they aren't going away
  12. You'd be asking for trouble if you still have dp disorder mate - I would stay completely clear, ket isn't even that fun/worth it
  13. you would be risking a lot with ket if you've had dp/dr before... I've done it a few times during my HPPD onset without any increase of visuals, dp or dr. But Ye never had Dp/dr either
  14. ^^^^^ disagree... Loads of people who haven't ever done drugs see that fast things go blurry in their vision
  15. ^ x100000 jay. I keep finding myself in situations where I validate doing drugs only if I do not much of it e.g. Half a pill//small bump k/a ml of g... It's gonna hit me one day, I'm looking forward for the college break and leaving the city for a while.
  16. No HPPD man... Sounds like genuine anxiety, everything that moves fast is blurry haha!
  17. hey man, your symptoms sound exactly the same as mine, particularly with the HPPD only being in the dark/on blank walls (I get real faint blue tie dye shit movin around), lemme know how you go with it as im very slowly improving being on an SNRI. I'm yet to start taking lions mane etc.
  18. Hey mate, yeah I've got what rather mild/pre HPPD too, with visual snow//after images the biggest issues for me but not debilitating. It's been nearly a year since I've had them and theyre slowly diminishing in intensity. I've been on an SNRI during this period as well (so not certain if it's had an effect on base lining my symptoms/improving/worsening). Tried mdma, ketamine and ghb a few times each in this period as well with no increase in symptoms apart from when im in the dark a few days after. No doubt though it slowly diminishes through time.
  19. Magnesium supplements in 2 days would have done absolutely nothing
  20. You are experiencing some serious anxiety, have you tried CBT?
  21. Yeah I haven't had dp/dr so that's probably why it doesn't affect me... I'm very cautious though and obvs don't recommend it with Dp/dr prone people
  22. I've found ket and ghb (for me) don't increase my HPPD symptoms
  23. Ever you been to a doctor yet? wouldnt be surprised if you get diagnosed with generalised anxiety disorder with everything you're going through atm, CBT works a treat for that. Easily treatable to learn how to control your emotions, and consequently improve them
  24. DXM is a drug well-known to cause HPPD, particularly Dp/dr There's supposedly a few that have so far (to my knowledge at least) not worsened HPPD symptoms. But everyones different, and to be honest after seeing all your posts, I don't think its worth risking your mental health. Drugs are fun (no shit) but you haven't had HPPD for long, so there's plenty of time able for you to fully recover.
  25. When is MDMA powder ever around // 100% clean - hard to know what you're taking is md nowadays, even after testing haha. Hard to put down MDMA entirely as the cause when there are other adulterants in pills. Sounds like my month binge, although I probably had 10 pills thurs-sat and I'm only 5'3... Good fun though.
