Melatonin

Recommended Posts

Sorry if I picked the wrong forum…I’ve been taking Melatonin for a couple of weeks and I LOVE it. It knocks me out and keeps me asleep all night. I think it makes my HPPD symptoms a bit worse in the mornings though…does anyone else take Melatonin? Does it affect your symptoms?

I get a bit of a hangover for a few hours the next day... Bit like that feeling after smoking dope all night then waking up groggy (in the good old days, of course).

I try to use it for a few weeks to get a sleep pattern back, then put it away until my next insomnia spell.

It seemed at first like it was making my symptoms a little worse in the morning but now I don’t notice that at all. I swear I think I’m addicted to it. I know I’m only supposed to take it a few weeks at a time but it puts me to sleep so fast and keeps me asleep that I take one every night. I wonder what would happen if I stopped taking it now…probably insomnia?

Update: you were right Jay! Total “bakeover” haha, that’s what we called it when we smoked wayyyy too much pot the previous night. I noticed my symptoms started getting worse, and not only that, I was so brain fogged and “duh” I couldn’t even think straight. I was going to bed at like 6:30-7 in the evening! The night before last, I got a horrible night’s sleep. I kept waking up all night and then got up at 4:30. Last night I didn’t take the Melatonin and I feel so much better! I got a good sleep and my visuals went down and I actually feel like I can think straight! Woohoo!
