Has anyone tried Sibelium (Flunarizine)?

I have a script for it, just haven't taken it yet because coming off Clonazepam and playing around with opiates have taken a toll on me, I will however update if I decide to take it.

I should add, this does not seem to be a continuous medication, i.e. you take it for a while and then stop. The positive effects seem to last after discontinuation of the medication, which is good. For this person (http://thosewithvisu...rit#reply-50086) the positive effects came only after discontinuation, and have lasted four years (and counting).

Don't want to scare anyone, but my doctor wouldn't perscribe me this (and he is usually pretty liberal with the scripts).... He said that there have been a growing number of people showing parkinson symptoms. Mainly in the elderley, but with our condition, he didn't want to risk it.

If sinemet dont work, im gonna take the risk. Most of the meds used to improve hppd aren't quite safe.

What about dotarizine?

I haven't heard of this one. A quick Google search indicates it is structurally similar to flunarizine, although this could mean jack. Keppra and Piracetam, for example, are structurally very similar but work in very different ways. But both doarizine and flunarizine act as calcium channel blockers. In addition to calcium channel blocking mechanisms dotarizine also works as a 5HT-2A antagonist, which some people have mentioned may be beneficial. I posted a recent research article in the research section about how MDMA permanently increases 5HT-2A receptor density. Is this available in the UK? Did your doctor mention it? Or is it something you came across in your research? It sounds like a very interesting medication which could be beneficial, but I'm not a medical professional so in all honesty I don't really know. But I like the sound of it very much.

I am at a loss though where it is available? can anyone help? Spain and Italy use it for Migraine treatment but that is as far as I have got.

i have been taking 10mg of Flunarizine for a long while, only one pild when the migrane can not be manage with other drugs like ibuprofen, aspirin or even ergotamine, and that's it. It work perfect with one pild at night if the migrane become chronic, after the migraine without the pild, the life is totally normal for me and i have been without severe migraine for more than a year, but if the pain is so extreme, and can not be manage with any other soft drug, i definitely recommend it
