Mr.50's
Probably has to do with the fact that drug use is so accepted in modern society that there are a lot more kids that screwed up than you thought and are looking for help. hppd24years
Things on this subject are just starting to scratch the surface.. Its about that absolute time for awareness, forms of communication, debate, understanding, acceptance, direction, decisions, participation, friendships, education and ultimately cures or functional living. I hope this is the seed ready to blossom into an amazing experience of expectation as a whole with the numbers to sustain it....
Guest
When that article came out in the DANA periodical and the New Yorker magazine, I posted it in hundreds of neuroscience, psychology, pro drug and anti drug use Facebook groups/pages. I wanted to spread awareness and get science interested in this condition in the absolute worst way. This is after sending emails to over 1000 scientist from some of the most well renown research institutions and universities about HPPD as well. Only a handful responded. It all boils down to awareness and education. Got to get people behind this because those who have family that are afflicted simply don't know or understand. I find that the most crippling form of disability is powerlessness and the way to counteract this, the means of empowerment reside in knowledge. HPPD has to become a hot button issue which has got to attract the interest of the scientific community. The drug war may be over but our battle is not. We can't do this alone and need the backing and support of not just science (what few are actively involved in HPPD research) but parent groups, community organizations, publicity, publicity, publicity. We need Oprah damn it!
hppd24years
I wish I was a genius genie in a bottle because "OPRAH Winfrey IT IS" She has lots of compassion and bling bling that would definitely destroy hppd forever guaranteed. Might have to write her show and get by the administration team for the pre-interview titled "HPPD NOT FOR ME" Eh hope??
