mbellamy09 Posted August 23, 2013 Report Posted August 23, 2013 Hey guys I bight 200mg suntheanine cause I've been confused can't think clearly feeling type stuff but about a half hour after taking it I started to get worse in that respct and my memory was shit if I looked at something forgot it immediately so it seemed like it was brand new. Anyone else experience worsening with theanine?all I've seen it either does nothing or it makes things better
onedayillsailagain Posted August 23, 2013 Report Posted August 23, 2013 Try half the dosage.. Haven't experienced anything like that. Could've been coincidental I suppose?

onedayillsailagain Posted August 24, 2013 Report Posted August 24, 2013 I take mine sublingually usually.. Perhaps that'll help with the stomach upset. Though I get that too, now that you mention it.Doesn't really bother me though, as I just have a bite to eat when that happens.
StateOfRegret Posted August 24, 2013 Report Posted August 24, 2013 I had a negative experience with l-theanine of queasiness and heightened anxiety. But this was in combination with benzodiazepines (Oxazepam) and it was shortly after my HPPD had become bad, so I figured that it was mostly an anxiety reaction related to ingesting the theanine without knowing how it would affect me. I have not tried theanine since, but I plan to at some point.
Fawkinchit Posted August 24, 2013 Report Posted August 24, 2013 Does for me, if you take a really small dose, like REALLY small its not to bad. But I cant continuously take it.
LarryC Posted August 24, 2013 Report Posted August 24, 2013 On the previous board there were many posts about l-theanine. Great majority had bad experience using it.
