This article has alot of good information stating also the lack of inhibitory factors by the brain in the case of HPPD.
-
Other effects in receptors can easily be seen in hormones and the strong effects that they exhibit on bone structure, such as males who take DHT blockers are more susceptible to estrogen, and alot report widened hips, and the more obvious.
-
So the receptor idea has gained a bit more weight in recent research that I have been doing on estrogen, there were some studies done that mice were given topical beta estradiol, which completely inhibited their hair growth, then when administered with and estrogen antagonist(neutralizer) restarts the follicles growth what seemed to be completely. Greater showing the massive effects that receptors can have, and permanent effects until reversed, which revamps the idea that the extreme push on these receptors may be causing strong long lasting alterations in neuronal and DNA expression. It also, if accurate would be much more simple of fixing than massive allocated neuronal apoptosis.

Kinda cool, However, no matter the vastness of the brain, simply, it is just a extremely complex electromagnetic resonator.

What good is this information if it cannot be applied???

I never really went onto 4chan before but I do visit reddit daily. What is /b/ and /m/? Is it the Random and Mecha sections of 4chan? I checked those out and /b/ was just filled with naked girls + gore and /m/ was filled with anime lol. I will post up info on HPPD on reddit although a couple people did already I will try to start a discussion to get people who have it to join our community as well to spread the word that HPPD needs more research. Reddit has become pretty god damn popular even a couple celebrities and politicians go on there regularly.

Yah we need to find more stuff like this.

What about Octacosanol? According to webmd it's used to treat parkinson and in Sweden you can buy a supplement containing L-tyrosine and octacosanol that stimulates the brain's production of dopamine. Not a cure ofcourse but could this affect hppd in any way?
If you want to increase dopamine just order mucana puriens / ldopa, a precursor to dopamine, works pretty well. Should make symptoms worse slightly though cause dopamine is a stimulant.

The way to "reverse" can only be done through neurogenesis. neurogenesis can be found in salamanders, the hippocampus, songbirds, and a few other animals that I can't recall at the moment.
-
-
No, reread what I wrote. the drug on stimulates neurogenesis, it does not activate neurogenesis.
-
Not a bad find but from what I read it stimulates the neurogenesis of the hippocampus, the hippocampus is already capable of neurogenesis without this drug so it only seems to stimulate what already regenerates in the brain. So it would be of no benefit.

Yes, absolutely, it would be the limiting factor in healing here.
Another thing to add is that we've discussed that healing/recovery is a pseudo recovery, even though so claim healed, the effects and damage is still there its just under threshold, basically we heal like scar tissue heals a cut in the skin.

Please explain what you are posting.
I am still strongly leaning towards specifically located cellular over stimulation and apoptosis. Mg actually posted that hallucinogens may be active by increase glutamate in specific sites in the brain, this leads to furthre proof that this is the possible case, as excessive glutamate release cause neuronal death/apoptosis.
It seems to be very clear.
-
Bumping this since gene expression is for the most part out now unless further research shows differently
-
Exactly visual, this is permanent, and although done may "recover" I don't think its a full recovery, my visual snow and dizziness is gone, no more dp/dr, however my anxiety is still there and gets wore with coffee etc. so what some may call a recovery is more of a lessening. The damage just goes below threshold of symptoms.
-
Do you have any research that shows gene silencing by hallucinogens?
The changes in gene expression are only temporary
Bit of an idea for possible CURE. Has some weight to it.
