  1. I used to be able to drink with this but now it fries my brain even in tiny amounts, makes me dizzy, nauseous.......my body just can't tolerate it anymore. Just as with any stimulant.
  2. Hi guys Has anyone developed mood problems as a result of this? I'm sure many of us have depression but I refer more to the opposite end of the spectrum - I've had periods where I've felt hypomanic (like a mild dose of mdma, oddly enough...! Only I'm certainly not happy about it...) and I do worry about the chances of bipolar, or progression to full blown mania at some point. Can anyone relate? Or, indeed, simply to the feeling of having mdma coursing through your brain whilst completely sober.
  3. Fascinating. Wouldn't have thought of it as a hallucinogen, or a drug that has negative psychiatric effects (versus weed/lsd anyway) but then it's the drug that got me where I am. You have also mentioned it was Mandy that made your hppd permanently much worse.....Do you still have any *really* freaky visual stuff going on? I know you've spoken about 3D cogs before.....
  4. Cheers guys. It's often worried me, especially since 1) my case is degenerative and 2) I happened to ingest some (passive!) weed smoke a month ago that appears to have sent things into overdrive somewhat. For me it's mostly a feeling of seeing faces/personality in things - like car headlights feeling like eyes, or everyday objects having a feeling of life/personality about them - even though they don't *look* any different to me. As though they might start sprouting limbs and dancing about - like in a Disney film or something. Don't know if anyone can relate, haha... Jay - you mean people that are permanently psychotic following drugs? E.g. schizophrenic? I guess when all's said and done we can at least be grateful we're still (mostly!) sane...
  5. How psychotic has this made you guys feel? Anyone out there with genuine hallucinations (not just warping)/hearing voices? Do antipsychotics help you in those instances?
  6. Yes bud but I may have to call it a day. Along with the dizziness it's becoming too risky.
  7. Mine is also worsening by itself, bud. It's rather hopeless if I dwell on it. And to add fuel to the fire I happened to ingest some passive weed smoke last week that has sent this into absolute overdrive....... As I understand it it's rare for it to worsen by itself but.....evidently it happens thus for some.....
  8. Hi guys Just thought it'd be interesting to get an idea of how everyone is getting on.....
  9. Hi guys Does anyone else have periods where they feel high (obviously whilst not on drugs)? I don't mean the visuals, or the DP/DR, I mean where you actually feel the bodily sensation of being high and "overstimulated". My precipitating drug was MDMA, so it's very similar to an MDMA come-up, only without the euphoria. It's like a "tarnished" high, and very much as though my brain is overheating. It doesn't seem to be a symptom many can relate to.
  10. I haven't tried Keppra yet, but I had a bad reaction to a baby-dose of Lamictal, which really frustrated me as it's supposed to be such a safe medicine. Oh well, such is the state of my brain.....
  11. Could you describe your reaction bud? If I actually smoked it I'd almost certainly have some kind of seizure, I suspect!
  12. Mythos - what "perceptions and thought processes" do you mean? This is much, much more than visual for me too. I'm sorry but that part is easy!
  13. Hi guys I was in a room with two people smoking recently.....although I did NOT smoke myself, and left after 5 mins or so, evidently I inhaled some second hand smoke and my symptoms have been steadily worsening since then. I thought I was bad before, but this is just hellish, and literally getting worse day by day. Anyone else consume drugs (or inhale second hand smoke) and have a similar aftermath?
  14. I've developed POTS and a few other things thanks to the drugs. If I'm on my feet for too long I'll pass out. Mine seems to be very much classical HPPD + a few other conditions,,,,,
  15. Hi dukkha Thanks for your hearty response buddy. I think my case is abnormal for the two reasons I mentioned - the way it's gone from mild to severe instead of vice versa, and that it's constantly worsening at all despite no further drug use. I think it's fair to say this is very unusual for hppd. Finally, although many talk of feeling as though they're still high as in tripping *visually*, I've heard very little talk of actual high bodily sensations, in the MDMA-esque way I refer to above. Or even dizziness for that matter. I hope it does stop worsening as you suggest, but all I have to go by is the evidence - 18 months of a steady downhill slope! It doesn't exactly bode well. How is it that caffeine affects you??
  16. Has this actually helped many people? Neurofeedback is pretty controversial.....and expensive! Would hate to try something that's no better than pseudoscience.
  17. Hi guys - I've wanted to join this forum for months. Looks like they've now resolved what issues were barring new users. It was a very dodgy dose of MDMA and a filthy cannabis brownie that landed me with this crap, within a few months of each other back in the spring of 2015. However, my case seems to be atypical for two reasons: 1. Excluding the horrid drug experiences themselves, I essentially "recovered" immediately, and have slowly been developing these HPPD problems ever since. I.e. from mild to severe, instead of severe to mild as in most cases, or a constant severe. 2. Leading on from that - I'm always worsening despite no drug use in nearly 2 years (and I only used 6 times). It's like a degenerative process was "triggered". Can anyone else relate to this? Or my symptoms: - every kind of dizziness you can imagine - disequilibrium, dissociation, dp/dr, brain fog, lightheadedness (the latter of which has led to a diagnosis of POTS) - all the visual snow/light sensitivity/perceptual shite - no hallucinations (yet) but worrying things like eyes in headlights etc - insomnia - a recurrent feeling of being "high" on MDMA - for hours, days at a time, despite being sober. I can't be more specific than that - a "serotonin-esque" feeling all over my body. I suspect I'll start having seizures soon. A feeling that my brain is truly "on fire" as one psychiatrist put it. I can't consume any kind of stimulant - even a cup of tea - or exercise, or it just fires me up even more. I've also seen two neuros, both of whom have heard of this, and they're both pretty clueless re: its process and any treatment. I've tried to be brief. Any responses would be greatly appreciated - as I said, my case seems extremely atypical, and it's difficult for me to remain positive when things are always getting worse.......good wishes to all
