  1. He tried a muscle relaxer he thought maybe tension headaches. I honestly didn't feel like getting into everything with him as he said he has no idea what it could be. Also on tension headache thing I've actually thought it could be a few things. I've been having some pressure towards the front of my head and face and also very lightheaded and things moving and/or vertigo.

I thought it would be best to ask on here lol.ive been tapering off klonopin and have been stalled n half of .25 twice a day for 2 months probably more and thinking maybe this is what life is like on this low of dose? Honestly that would be what I thought the most if it didn't happen right after my myelogram and spinal headache 1 month ago.seems like to much of a coincidence to me but any thoughts would be nice

  2. What is observed in HPPD is a shorter latency of the P2 component in the Visual Evoked Potential test, and also higher alpha frequency waves.

However it may differ from person to person. Also, if I remember my basic anatomy correctly (unlikely), then the right side of the body is controlled by the left hemisphere and vice versa, Hence the locking sensation near your left temple (which coincidentally I experience as well and it's extremely annoying and uncomfortable), should not result from your left temporal abnormalities. Don't quote me on that though, but I think this is (roughly) how it works.

For your next EEG, get a quantitative analysis done instead of the 'normal' analysis. This is more likely to show HPPD-related abnormalities.

Like I said in not sure what the difference is. I just went in there sat down strobe light eyes open, eyes closed thing then out 30 minutes later. I was just wondering if this is something i could show to future docs so they don't think im crazy with the hppd?

  3. Hey just had a normal EEG done a couple days ago cause I've been having issues with post spinal headache symptoms. A neurologist I've been seeing recommended an EEG and I did not tell him about my hppd or anything. Anyways the EEG showed abnormalities on the left side of my brain, temporal. One doctor said he didn't know what to make of it which made me chuckle.

Question is is that normal for hppd? Like the abnormality on the left side or what? Occasionally I do get some sort of locking sensation near my left temple but just wondering

This is my second one can't remember if my first one showed anything or not

  4. So a couple weeks ago I had a ct myelogram where they stick a needle into my spine and inject dye into my spinal fluid and the hole did not close enough so spinal fluid ended up leaking out. I have had two blood patches where they inject blood into my back to plug up the hole.

I'm hoping that worked and I'm not leaking anymore but anyone have any ideas on if this could aggravate dp/dr or hppd in general? Ever since I have had a weird dizziness vertigo heavy type feeling and everything seems to me moving with some shots of pain in certain areas of my head. Sorta like depersonalization on steroids maybe? I don't now if its my fluid regulating itself or it aggravating my own hppd or not

If anyone had had this done any info would help or anyone with any idea for that matter. Thank you

  5. Anybody? I had my biggest panic attack ever and almost went to emergency room caus ei thought I was having a heart attack had to take the full pill at tight to sleep 2 hours. I might stop the taper for now and just take half a pill twice a day. Good idea or no? I having back/nerve issues as well so it seems like a good idea to get everything cleared up before continuing to me

  6. I have been having acid reflex and heartburn for a long time I don't think I had it before the klonopin.i can't find a definitve answer of klonopin causes acid reflux. I've been on klonopin for 5 years and am now at half a dose of .25 mg twice a day so its a low dose I don't think it should cause all the heart burn

Do proton pump inhibitor(ppi) react badly with it?

I know these arent visual/perceptual symptoms but something I've noticed

  7. Starting to get random hot phases now where my whole body just feels hot. I'm down to like less than .20 mg a day from using it for 5 years but has anyone else had these?i mean I got tested for diabetes a few months ago and nothing showed up

  8. No i asked about upping the dose mainly due to anxiety upping around all the people and dp/dr gets worse.i might apply this to golf tournaments as well.

If im understanding right you have been withdrawing and during you upped your dose for a day or two? Or just upped in the morning or night and then continue along the tapering process like before?

Sorrt for all the questions just trying to clarify a little

    Thanks

  9. Hello I am tapering off klonopin and have a few questions related

1: I have a 3 day concert in August and I would just be getting off the klonopin or really close. Would it be wise to up the dose for just for those three day in that situation or would that destroy the whole tapering off thing?

2: when I get off of it I can tfigure out what to argue for with doc. Keppra or sinemet. Sinemet stuff seems to be dying down and research showed not good or am I reading that wrong? Leppras side effects scare me and don't like that it takes a week or two to start working

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  10. am i the only one who feels.....more emotional at night? not exactly better as i can feel the dr/dp feeling and lightheadedness and such but at night i feel more real if that makes sense. bad thing is that i get tired easily and head pressure/headaches get worse but its weird at night for me now

  11. First time back on here in awhile. Been on klonopin for over 5 years and also in the process of quitting. I also have been having back pain and some nerve issues that are getting worse so I have an MRI scheduled for slipped disk and I can't differentiate what's causing what so going a little crazy. I always think that eventually getting off klonopin will be at least very interesting to see what it's like without it

  12. Get. Off. The. Seroquel. ASAP.

Well that sounds encouraging lol. I haven't taken any of it yet but thinking from this post among many others not a good idea. I don't know what else to do though. I've tried numerous times just for like a trial of sinemet to no avail. I guess I'll wait until Monday and call him and raise hell

  13. Drove an hour and a half to be told that these are hallucinations so for prescribed seroquel. I know AP are different but the ones I took made things worse. He said he wouldn't prescribe sinemet right away. Should I partake in being his test subject and take this and make things potentially worse or don't take them and call him saying they made things worse?

I sent a message to dr Abraham but since I'm sure he's quite busy and probably is annoyed by all the messages not expecting a reply

  14. Thanks for the responses guys. Mg-the 1/8th and 1/4th sounds a little quick for me if I understand you correctly. I have tried to withdraw from klono 3 times I believe. Cutting it down a half every day was awful lol. I'm hoping its just not to slow though I guess if there is such a thing. I haven't been able to get into a psychiatrist so not sure on the time table. Make a cut every couple weeks or two weeks? More concerned I got a concert and spring break in march want to be sorta stable

  15. So 4th attempt I have been down on .25 twice a day for a few months now almost a year actually and decided cant wait until the 1st to see psychiatrist about sinemet. Been to long and things just getting worse I generally have no idea what day or time it is anymore. Been on klonopin for five years total. So tonight just started 3/4 of a pill at night. Really want to go slow but maybe to slow?
