Some medications make visuals slightly worse tho the sedative element and numbing aspect ends up being of some benefit.. Likley helps with the Dp Dr etc I feel like I have an addictive personality, tho with symptoms this bad as mine who wouldn't for some relief. I feel like hppd is painful of an entirely different level so possibly helps with the pain aspect.. Don't worry not in danger of addiction etc It's funny how when a person has not dealt with the underlying cause they can go from one substance straight into another..
