nothingbutbluntz Posted November 5, 2013 Report Posted November 5, 2013 I am going to be taking Valerian Root very soon to deal with anxiety. Do you guys have any recommendation as to what dose I should take to do so?
Syntheso Posted November 5, 2013 Report Posted November 5, 2013 Hm, perhaps not the best choice.. it can make you quite drowsy, hence it's a good sleep aid. Can't remember exact dosage but I used to take two capsules when they recommended 1-2 for sleep. Always sent me off. I don't use it any more, I use melatonin as a sleep aid (amongst other reasons). By all means try it for your purposes though.. good to have different reports. Have you tried theanine?

Ghormeh Sabzi Posted November 5, 2013 Report Posted November 5, 2013 I don't know about dosages (what does it say on the container?) but a few on here have had good success with it in terms of helping anxiety, and so it is certainly worth a go - especially since it is only a supplement. It is a sensible start.
nothingbutbluntz Posted November 9, 2013 Author Report Posted November 9, 2013 I have been taking it for almost a week now, 3 times a day, 500mg capsule. I find it does take away my anxiety although it makes me rather drowsy, it's something I can live with if it means visuals will cease or calm down
