brendan
sorry, another one of my crap links to a subject vaguely related to hppd: http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2013/10/19/grounded-documentary.aspx. The idea is to spend time with your shoes off or in other ways connected to electrical earth. Apparently, you tend to become positively charged if you walk around with insulating shoes on, and your body needs negative charge to reduce inflammation etc. Although it sounds a bit quacky, i can see a possible equivalence to antioxidants and alkalis which are electron donors and tend to be anti-inflammatory; also negatively charged air is more healthy (hence ionisers). NamelessUser
There are hundreds of miles between you and the earths core, which is where this magnetic field is generated. A half inch of rubber isn't going to do much.
brendan
it doesnt have anything to do with the earth's core or magnetic field. It is the same as when you earth an electrical appliance by wiring it to a building's plumbing system.
