K.B.Fante
Interesting article that discusses the science behind why a diet high in fiber is good for the brain. Two of the most discussed neurotransmitters on this site are GABA and serotonin, both of which are derived in the gut from the foods we eat. If you want more seratonin and GABA you best eat a diet with lots of veggies! https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4903954/ Link to comment
BetKnight
I've definitely noticed a difference in my own energy levels and mood when I focus on eating a diet full of veggies and starting weight loss programs. They can be a total life savior. Link to comment
AliciaHolt
High-fiber diets have been shown to have numerous health benefits, like improved digestion, weight management, and a lower risk of chronic diseases. As for brain health, research suggests that a diet high in fiber may help improve cognitive function and reduce the risk of dementia. Another aspect to consider is the concept of "Reverse Health," which suggests that our overall health and well-being, including brain health, can be improved by reversing harmful lifestyle habits and adopting a more holistic approach to diet and lifestyle. So incorporating fiber-rich foods such as whole grains, fruits, and vegetables can definitely be a step in the right direction for a healthier brain and body.
