pennyarcade Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 I have some lying around but ive been reluctant to try it as ive had bad experiences with antidepressants natural or otherwise... I need something to help with stress so any feedback on this would be grateful
pennyarcade Posted August 22, 2011 Author Report Posted August 22, 2011 Thanks for your reply odysseus. Better sleep and calm sounds good to me... can I ask if you have ever had problems with antidepressants/psychotics in general if you have ever tried them. I use it. I don`t notice much, but I might sleep better and I am more calm. It has no effect on my closed eye visuals.
1998 Posted August 22, 2011 Report Posted August 22, 2011 It's the same chemical in turkey that makes you feel relaxed after eating. It does work well for me even in the pill form, I'll feel relaxed and a little drowsy, but I like that feeling rather then being anxious.
415_stylee Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 I get a quite decent dose from my protein shakes, it´s generally relaxing and mood lifting. Compared to anti-depressants such as Zoloft, it´s very mild. Zoloft makes me manic as . Tryptophan is one of the essential amino-acids, which means your body can´t produce it, but needs it to survive. So a steady external intake is required. I have not noticed any increase in HPPD symptoms or manic reactions from tryptophan at all.
pennyarcade Posted August 24, 2011 Author Report Posted August 24, 2011 Thanks for the input guys... unfortunately i decided to take l-methione instead... yesterday I felt great but today ive woken up with heart palpitations and visuals as bad as they have ever been ... my visuals were getting better as well they havent been this bad in a long time FUCK!
pennyarcade Posted August 24, 2011 Author Report Posted August 24, 2011 Things have cleared back up again im not sure if it was the l-methione or just coincidental but ive taken it again at half dose as it really feels beneficial so fingers crossed my visuals stay stable.
