So I got very minor hppd from an acid trip around 8 months ago. After the trip I smoked weed and drank a couple times, then I started noticing static and such in my vision... so I have been clean from all substances for 5 months. The anxiety/ depression is much better, and the visuals are pretty ignorable unless in bad lighting and not very bad. If I continue to be healthy and abstain from drug use, having recently quit nicotine as well, do I still have the possibility of recovering? I've heard plenty of cases of ppl recovering and having visuals go away within 1-2 years and that's what I'm hoping for! Is this a possibility? Hppd is minor and I plan on staying healthy as I am 17 and workout on daily basis

hi are you still around, how did things go for you?

It's been around 1 year now for me.

For some reason I'm not having too many problems with my recovery, unlike the majority of people on here.

I started with mild/moderate symptoms of VS, afterimages, ghosting and frame rate issues/skippy vision. Now every symptom has died down pretty much. To the more servre suffers, what I am experiencing now, would be your definition of cured, believe me it's no longer a problem in my life. But I'm just worried that something will trigger these symptoms back, 1y-10y down the line. I'm living in fear that this might become a problems for me and it's going to leave me with a constant fear

hello, are you still around, i also have mild symptoms 7 months in and im hoping to recover more like yourself

  4. hi i hope you are able to reply to this, i got hppd from acid gave me some dpdr followed by weed pen 2 weeks later things fully came on. at first was just head pressure and sensitivity to light and the vr, they thought i was having migraines or a concussion. over a few months more symptoms developed (static (vs) floaters, bfep etc) your situation seems very similar to mine, exercise helps me as a distraction but do you believe it actually helps visuals? im 7 months in taking lamotrigine and clonazepam. i fear not going the no prescription drugs route will hinder recovery but that might just be my anxiety and worry since both meds have been known to help symptoms the most. my static is only on walls and white surfaces and the floaters seems to have gotten a lot better. head pressure used to be 24/7 now it comes and goes. light sensitivity is gone, basically id like to get your opinion on my possible recovery and when u noticed the visuals to start going away the vs specifically. i would love to only get them when tired or sick, or complete recovery like some have claimed. thank you and i am glad your life sounds so wonderful
