Mostly* everyone wants to be seen as the top authority

I get the feels that a majority of people on this board (not everyone) just want to be seen as the "top" authority on hppd. 

It's looking good and going nowhere.. 

Analysis leading to paralysis. Speculation 

On some ways  just a big ego match with seemingly 0 support.

Tho there has been some awesome support in the past greatly appreciated

Feeling I need a break from this circus.

I don't see that at all, personally. 

I just see a bunch of people trying their best to get through this however they can. Not everyone is going to get on in any community, if people bug you, just ignore them. If they are being pricks, then report them. Simple. 

tbh, i'm kind of sick of paying $45 a month i don't have just to see a bunch of people squabbling about little issues rather than pulling together.

Same I saw it as a place of research, brainstorming, connecting, spreading awareness and data, venting and letting people know that they are not totally alone in this. I didn't really see it as a hierarchical place until now lol. This forum really saved me in the early years, now HPPD and visual snow has become more mainstream so it's not as crazy anymore. When I first got it, I was terrified but after coming unto this forum, I learned how to navigate a bit.

Let’s pull together in 2025… I’ll not blaming anyone or pointing fingers.. but we have bigger shit going and that will only get better if we put our differences aside and try to find common ground.

I don't really know where this is coming from. I've not seen any of this personally; to me it seems people are just doing their best to share their information and experiences.

If we do end up shutting down HPPD Online, I think it'd be important to archive the old posts in some capacity, although I'm not certain of the feasibility of this. There's always the option to migrate somewhere that doesn't charge — discord for example has added some forum-esque capabilities in recent years.
