Hello!

My name is Filipp, just signed up for the forum.

Had HPPD since I was 16 after a bad acid trip. In my 20’s now, I’d say it’s mostly gone by now/learned to live with it, but still get heavy visual snow and it does set back in when I’m fatigued/hungry/etc.. Only thing that reduces it is name brand Keppra, but that floaty/detached feeling doesn’t completely go away.

Friend offered me DMT. Feel like I want to do it for the actual effects/insight/enlightenment etc..

I also heard of a few stories of people’s symptoms completely going away after taking a bigger dose of another psychedelic, allegedly because the brain’s receptor fully open and allow the stuck compounds from the previous trip escape.

Has anybody here had a similar experience?

I read one story where a guy got complete psychosis after trying DMT while already having HPPD lol so I don't know.

Hahahaha yeah dude there are like a thousand different neuron subtypes, who the hell knows. Maybe some neuron specialists will be able to pinpoint it in the brain and reset the brain properly with psychedelics 🤷

I personally would not risk it at all lol

Ended up doing it lol. Nothing changed really. Back to how I was yesterday.

500-1000mg name brand Keppra daily keeps everything at bay. Generic doesn’t do anything. I recommend it if you’re struggling with it. I definitely learned to live with it but take it when I need the extra mental edge if that makes sense. Just don’t like the side effect of taking any meds at all.

I do a Klonopin and keppra combo and it made a big difference. It didn't "cure" me though. A lot of people mention brand name keppra. I will ask for it next time. Hopefully I get it 🙏
