shogun5553
Hey everyone, I have been scrolling through the forums, trying to find any related information to my topic. So I will start my own topic in hope of finding an answer. I have been having what I call visual distortions since I was 17. I am 45 now. They started after I took risperidone when I was in psychosis from hallucinogens They basically stopped once I stopped, taking the risperidone, but started coming back and have come back due to Anxiety related situations over the years. I am currently having a resurgence which is extremely difficult to say the least. My presentation seems to be different than anyone I have seen on here. It is similar to a bad trip. Colours are brighter or dulled, objects are sharper and look scary. It is like I am almost in an alternate universe that is scary. However things are static. I see no movement, only intensity changes. It is consistent and gets better and worse with Anxiety raising or lowering. It generally gets better overtime, and at some point, I feel like I forget about it and it disappears into the background. I have a sort of diagnosis of HPPD. However that is due to there being no other documented condition online that is the same. Only sort of similar. I do not have visual snow. Has anyone got a similar issue or heard of anything similar? I would love to hear from you as I would love to treat this correctly. Edited September 4 by shogun5553 Spelling mistakes
Jay1
Thanks for sharing, that is indeed a unique case, at least since i've been on these forums. Did you ever have any movement/VS etc before starting the meds? I ask this because clonazepam reduces my VS and movement a lot, but my vision still have as strange/trippy quality, even without the movement. Maybe your med is doing something similar? As for the change in symptoms... The usual culprit, if you have not changed anything in terms of drugs/meds, is stress or lack of sleep (often both). Anything you can pinpoint?
