brake
I had panic attacks for around 8 to 9 months. Maybe like about 4 to 7 times a month. They went away as my symptoms decreased and as I stopped being afraid of the visuals and the feeling that I am still semi tripping/peaking. My HPPD also came on at one of the worst times possible in my life but somehow I managed without prescribed medication or getting hospitalized. So I`d say they are temporary and you can eventually overcome them.
Abacus
One thing that is good to remind yourself about is that panic attacks are not dangerous at all. I had those for about three-four months. The first times I was convinced the panic would never stop, that I would go crazy or die "mentally", but as it never happened my body and mind kind of learned that the panic attacks weren't dangerous and so I stopped worrying about them, and finally they went away completely. Talking about your thoughts or feelings or whatever it is that triggers the panic attacks, also helps a lot.
