Does anyone else have body distortions?

Recommended Posts

Everything just keeps getting fuking worse, I tried to take sarcosine to help me...made me feel worse..

I accidentally had lemon lime and bitters from a pub and forgot bitters has alcohol in it! Since then I seem to have lost my "body grounding" like my body feels like a stick and like there is nothing there and now my surroundings look a bit "swishy and moulded together" like my brain can't distinguish a separateness from things everything just looks like one big mess!! My vision looks static, I cannot stand noises and sounds now I need to get fuking ear plugs!!

This came at horrendous timing coz I have my trip to Brazil tomorrow for healing and feel I cannot go I feel totally fuking disabled mentally and physically what do I do :( :(

Or some camomile tea. Try to realize that this is just uncomfortable and can´t really hurt you. It can be scary, but there´s nobody doing this to you. You are safe!

Huh? I think you're misinterpreting me completely. The reason I am asking is because I know first hand how anxiety can cause all sorts of seemingly very real symptoms, especially when you're not aware that anxiety is in fact the cause (which I am not saying that it is in Missjess' case, necessarily :-))

I want the best for every member here. That doesn't mean I have to sugar coat everything I say. You judge unfairly, hppd24andsoforth

Well I have had dp for 7 years before I got hppd...and I had not had anxiety for about 4 of this years so it's deff not anxiety..I only got these weird hppd symptoms recently and I believe Iboga was the trigger and alcohol

But these odd hppd symptoms have deff caused me some anxiety as I'm sure u can probly see ! :)

Not trying to diagnose anyone, but in my experience the perception of the blurring of boundaries between your sense-of-self and the external world was DP/DR related.

I think often people with Hppd also have DP/DR and may not realize it; although I know the OP mentioned it.    My experience is that if you can reduce dissociation, Hppd becomes much less on the foreground of perception.

It's more then Dpdr as I've had that for 7 years...but ur right it feels like I'm rlly far over on the dissociative scale. But unfortunately I cannot take any kind of medication or supplement as they seem to aggravate it even more...I took a tiny proportion of sarcosine and it got worse, I tried jdtic it got worse, I had a tiny bit of alcohol it got worse..

Hopefully john of god can help me

  • 3 weeks later...

My body felt weird when I first had my HPPD onset in December of 2013.

They were never continuous, but I noticed weird shit.

Sometimes my hands felt as though they didn't exist, or when I put my hands in my pockets I couldn't feel them.

When I touched the back of my head it felt as though my hands were where my eyes should be.

And sometimes I felt like I was about to start flying away.

The worst was when I'd have weird vertigo, I felt like someone was pushing me with their fingers, like jabbing at me, and like gravity was going haywire. I felt really unbalanced and like I was being pushed. Was awful.

Oh, and my right ring finger would feel like something was touching it.

All of these felt 100% HPPD related.

Cross my fucking fingers but I haven't had anything like that recently... For like a month. Think it's slowly getting better.

Also, yeah sometimes it feels hard to tell things apart from one another. Everything looks like a mess versus separate objects.
