Guest
Does anyone know if any research is being done even remotely in parallel lines that might be applicable to HPPD?
myrslingerbult
Research about visual snow and depersonalization is highly relevant for us suffering with hppd. I'm celebrating the new year at the moment but if you google it i'm sure you'll find it.
Guest
What I find is that there really isn't any research going on directly focused on HPPD. Perhaps if it were designated as an orphan disease we would see some substantial momentum. Anybody know what it takes to make that happen? What are the steps involved and howling the process takes? chrismo
As HPPD seems to be an umbrella term for a variety of symptoms none of which seem necessary or sufficient for a diagnosis on their own, the best hope may be research in to such individual symptoms. As such the Eye on Vision Foundation research studies for vitreous floaters and visual snow is encouraging.
mandrake
What we need is a Senator's kid to come down with it...that's how research gets moving (sadly).
