bryan02
just wondering if anyone can relate. i've had starbursts since the beginning of the year, they are big and distracting and get right on my tits a few months after starbursts came light senstivity at first only noticeable at night on car headlights but now i can't be outside in sunlight without sunglasses and most lights are annoying - just wondering if anyone has had this symptom improve over time or found anything other than sunglasses that helps? anything that might help with night driving? also colours on computer screens and mobile phones look a lot lighter than they used too
Sammywalker2009
Can totally relate this is by far one of the most irritating symptoms I offer with I find when I where sunglasses though if I take them off my eyes find the light unbearable it sucks I think starbursts and halos are part of the photophobia I'd be interested to know if there's anything other than sunglasses that might help
mgrade
I encourage you to experiment. But while i don't always follow my own advice, glasses seem to be the way to go until we find something better. I often have terrible photosensitivity together with awful headaches. And when i am driving at night, i truly hope i only remain on a back road in the country 'cause the lights from oncoming cars are like retina-frying death-lasers. The main thing is if you can't stand it, just leave your sunglasses on 24/7. So taking them off is never a problem.
Guest Bryan
Cheers for the replies, I find its like all other symptoms of hppd the more attention we give them, the more we're bothered by them. This one though I find the hardest to ignore, gotta keep on keeping on ey and hope for improvemnt one day
nuroeone
I've had this symptom since February and mine is strong, i also can not get around in daylight without my sunnies. I have been living a completely healthy lifestyle since February, eating right, gym etc. tried meds they only made me feel weird all that being said NO, improvement what so ever i'm afraid. it seems as though its here to stay, who knows what may happen given the time but so far nothing has gotten better. Sorry to sound negative but that's my experience with this so far and starbursting, ghosting and light sensitivity are easily my worst symptoms, without those i would pretty much be normal. chrismo
Don't know if people have seen this or if there is anything to it but, from Wikipedia: "A study by Stringham and Hammond, published in the Jan-Feb issue of Journal of Food Science, discusses the improvement in visual performance and decrease in light sensitivity (glare) in subjects taking 10 mg Lutein and 2 mg Zeaxanthin per day."
