  1. anti-convulsant's are extremely hard on your liver, thats what my doc told me
  2. I have tried opiates, they relaxed my state of mind, relaxing my visuals as well, or made them more unnoticeable
  3. The quote is from http://hppd.stormloader.com/help.htm
  4. From what i think, is that hppd is possibly a genetic disorder where LSD and other hallucinogens may alter inhibitory neurons in the perceptual pathways of the brain. Like jay1 said, this is thought to lower the visual filter. I also think that the random blobs of colors we see are colors of the visible light spectrum we're not supposed to see. Which could explain why some people find the world to be more bright (or the brightness to change) because visible light is not being registered properly.
  5. Well, i read that hppd could be a genetic disorder, so that got me thinking, wouldn't a doctor that knows about the way hallucinogenics affect the genes, target that gene and attempt to fix it? Here is the quote: "It is now thought that HPPD is possibly a genetic disorder where LSD and other hallucinogens may alter inhibitory neurons in the perceptual pathways of the brain(in susceptible individuals). These are the systems that filter the senses (well, mainly sight, possibly sound) into a full understandable picture." Also, if some of you are wondering, i take gabapentin for my hppd, it works pretty good, but tolerance develops fast.
