  1. Welcome aboard Corey Good thing you did the physical tests and everything is OK! Seems you have lots of symptoms, like Boogers here says, best thing is to ignore them as much as possible, as hard as it may be, just distract your thoughts from the visuals and gradually some if not all will get a lot better! Get to know with the forum, there's a lot of useful information available. Get to know how your own body's reaction to anything you do or consume, if something makes it worse, stop! And take your time, take it easy as you ozzies always do
  2. Floaters could erupt from anxiety, stressful time in life, aging and even for no obvious reason. if it is your only symptom most probably it wouldn't be considered to be hppd, but that shouldn't matter for you. i also have those floaters, i started noticing them months after every other possible hppd sympton was already in sight and i would say they didn't change since they just came up one day. now it is by far the most irritating and noticeable symptom. some people all around the web (other hppd forums and drugs-forum.com) just do not concider floaters as an hppd sympton because it's a natural phenomenon that apears in many occasions with no relevance to drug use. this is true, but then again its also true for 'visual snow' and afterimages. if you would ask me, it does have a clear connection to hppd since my own experience and many others in this forum report an increase of floaters. with that said, i can also recall seeing floters since very young age upon bright skies, but not a near intensity as they apear today. Seeing an ophthalmologist is probably the best advice, but you should know theres very little you could do about it exept giving it time, they probably subside if you are distracted and not concentrating on them too often, otherwise you will get use to them, anyway you will be fine! I could share with you another two experiences of two folks i was discussing with on that matter: one of them haven't done any drugs and he had floaters since seven years ago (29y old today) and the other did done all kind of drugs and he has floaters for about the same time. the second one claims he doesn't think the floaters have anything to do with drugs, but they both report that they aren't noticable anymore, they need to look for them in illuminated rooms to see them.
  3. I believe you describe something that i am having also, i also associate this with lsd but in a very unpleasent kind of way. This really makes hard time concentrating. I'm not sure the noise is made by blood rushing past your ears but the noise is made by twitching muscles. for me it has also something to do with twitching tongue muscles. Here you may see a discussion about the same subject. I am continually irritated by that and yet i can say that it is slowly fading away. I have seen reports saying that this can go away after about two years so we could hope for the best.
  4. From what you describe here your visuals don't seem to point on hppd Before falling asleep those things are normal in my opinion Can you describe whas deoes make you believe you do may develope hppd?
  5. Iv'e been prescribed for lyrica as well two weeks ago for headaches and anxiety. I take 75*2/day, no doubt about the tolorance - it does help for pain but i don't feel anymore the sedative effect as at the first few days on the drug. Helpful for anxiety somewhat, no bad side effects. apetite went a bit higher and libido wend a bit lower. I was reading in some other forum about ppl (with no hppd) experiencing with lyrica saying that lyrica give them perception disturbance as little flashing dots like on old theater movies (not floaters, but a flashing bright dot for a second or two). I am too experienced this two or three times a day, so take that in mind.
  6. Nice post, very optimistic. When HPPD started i haven't notice floaters at all, but had many other visual issues like traces, VS, afterimages ect'. after three months with HPPD i took some SSRI for ten days in which my vision gone badly worse. floaters kicked in as never before, i stopped taking the SSRI's but the floaters only kept going worse since. they even seen deemly lighted rooms, wierd stuff.
  7. Don't have any muscle issues, body feels fine most of the time only head pressure 24/7 which few times a week turns into a really painful headache and these cracks in my jaw Also when i leave my mouth open my jaw pushes itself to the sides and up and down unwillingly - it can be controlled if i lock my jaw - i think it's a common LSD sensation, only it didn't leave
  8. Since HPPD I have wierd clicks inside my mouth, i can hear the and feel them in the area where the jaw meets the skull. happens more often when i slightly open my mouth It seems to be more frequent as HPPD is getting worse Is anyone here have this phenomenon? What the hell is this? I just want to know i'm not the only one?
  9. Has anyone heard or tried about Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES) technology? A machine that called Alpha Stim. My doctor said that it could help with HPPD, i would like to ask you guys before trying could it be dangerous? What do you think? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cranial_electrotherapy_stimulation http://www.alpha-stim.com/
  10. Hello everyone! My name is Mark, I'm 24 years old from Israel. Im having HPPD for about 4 mounts now due to few months of combining lots of LSD & Cannabis smoking with some other drugs like MDMA, Mascaline, Oppiun and Cocain. I quit all illegal drugs exept Cannabis 4 months ago when started a new job. Soon after quiting i realized some LSD like feelings just did not pass. Mainly traces after everything that moves, floaters and waves. these effects got triplefold after smoking cannabis. Not too long ago after having heavy anxiety attacks i attented to a doctor and she prescribed me for SSRI treatment. As i started this treatment i found out about the thing called HPPD throuh the web. i was taking these pills for 10 days but after reading in this forum that SSRI's may increase HPPD symptoms I went to an other doctor which is an expert for drug abuse treatment. Also with the help of this forum i decided to quit cannabis smoking as i realized i may damage myself much worse. Now i take my condition very seriously. i am a heavy daily cannbis smoker and i left this habbit behind me since yesterday mainly due to the information from the web and this forum that cannabis is strickly related to worsen HPPD. The second doctor prescribed me for 'Wellbutrin XR 150mg'. He said that the most importent thing is to stop using Cannabis! I stopped smoking regular ciggarettes about an year ago but still i was mixing tabbaco with weed so my body is still addicted to nicotine, and for this reason i was smoking more weed (mixed with tabbaco) to reliefe nicotine craves. He's suggestion was to stop Cannabis use, even if it means that i go back to ciggarettes smoking for some period. Wellbutrin sould lower my dependancy for nicotine after some while so for now if i wanna smoke go on and smoke tabbaco but get away from Cannabis. I took He's advice, and I'm back to smoking tabbaco and also today i took my first Wellbutrin Pill. My aim is to finish my college degree in industrial engineering which i started just a week ago. Seems that i have a long way now for that aim as i have ADD, and now also HPPD. That same doctor also claimed that Ritalin also may increase HPPD symptoms so i would not use Ritalin as long as i still have HPPD. My treatment plan would be: -Cutting to zero cannabis use as from yesterday (or any other illigal drug use) -Prescribed 'Wellbutrin XR 150mg' - 1 pill every morning (I dont know for how long yet. As the doctor suggests for the next visits) -Cutting tabbaco use in a short time from now (Hopefully up to a month) -Get daily exercise (Already joined for a gym) -Yoga 2 times a week. (Already been in two sets on the pass week) And that's all for now.. Will update as soon as i feel needed ----------------------------------------------------- I would like to give great thanks to the forum adminstors for being involved, informative, sencere, hopeful and helful!! It surely helps for folks all around the globe like myself and others where we need it. Best wished for all!
