  1. Melatonin seemed to make my visuals temporarily worse the nights I took it.
  2. It just seems to me that it's such a rare condition that the majority of people will still keep that "won't happen to me" mentality.
  3. Don't think that'll help much. Simple fact is people love drugs. Think about it. Back when you were using, if someone tried to warm you off the dangers of drugs, you'd shrug them off thinking " it won't happen to me". This is the mind set for about every user out there.
  4. Can't say I have that. But I have noticed that when I...err..finish, I completely trip out, all my visuals are worsened 10x for about 2-3 minutes. Sometimes it scares me from the idea of doing it, but most of the time it's okay. My girl actually finds it relatively amusing.
  5. If you're choosing to smoke weed, especially daily, you're not going to get better. that will continue to drag you down. If you want to have any hope of getting better with out things coming to the worst possible scenario then sober the hell up.
  6. Well, it's true that conditions like ours are extremely rare. But to bluntly claim psychedelics are harmless...well that's just not true.
  7. 3 months in, definite improvement since the first week. No Dp, visual snow reduced, trails same as always, potential mild short term memory loss. Only thing that gets to me is my brain Fog. While it's rarely there, sometimes it pops in to say "hi" and I hate it. My addiction to cigarettes has been all but beaten. Hoping that my smoke 2 days ago will be my last. I got one of the ecigarettes with 0 nicotine and its been working. All in all, life is livable, albeit a little bit of a Bitch. But I'm staying positive:)
  8. Wow, sorry man. I suppose my nap hallucinations don't seem quite as violent as yours, but I think it's the same basic Idea. Interesting you bring up K2, as about 3-4 years ago I smoked that shit and had an insanely bad trip, thought I was gonna die. since it was so long ago I don't really attribute my hppd to it, but if anything I can tell you that if you're still on that shit, snap out of it. If you believe the weed isn't making things worse that's alright but shit like K2 should just be wiped of the face of the earth. On a more positive note I actually managed to take a successful nap today. Visuals were hell for the hour after I woke up but it was worth it.
  9. That sounds really relaxing and meditative! I don't think if ever be interested in doing that kinda thing, but this thread sparked something in me and I was able to pick up my guitar for the first time since my HPPD started (for some reason I've been kinda scared of it). Played a lot today and it felt great. Thanks for the motivation, guys:)
  10. @leelalala that looked awesome. I always thought things like that were really cool, I think it's great that you're into that kind of thing! I know anything creative like that is great for anxiety and the mind in general.
  11. @Shadowplay hell yeah we should start a band. It would seemingly have plenty of bass haha:). If I'm not mistaken I've seen you mention Roky on here once or twice. You a fan of the 13th floor elevators?
  12. Haha, thanks mg:) and I agree, hopefully I'll be able to keep people out of the system, as my role is pretty much to combat the system. And there aren't any more holes in my wall since the one focused in this post, so I suppose that's a good thing heh.
  13. Thanks man. Good luck on the procedure! And hopefully I went be sentencing anyone, working towards being a defense attorney. Went through the court system a year or so ago. Ironicly it was one of the things that made me want to be a part of that same system, haha. Funny how things work out.
  14. I'm still a student. But thought I'd tag in this conversation as I'm also a bass player, guitar also.
  15. Haha, I had a mock trial, I'm working towards studying law, hope to be a lawyer. Sorry to hear about the dinner situation. Has the Keppra been relatively side effect free otherwise? And it could be anxiety or stress related, I just finished all my finals yesterday.
  16. Hey guys. Quick one here. I've had this for about two months now. About two weeks ago things started changing. Instead of remaining reliably constan my symptoms seems to vary better or worse on a daily basis, but never too bad. This doesn't bother me as much as I've been having more good days. What is bothering me is I seem much more prone to anger. Things that normally wouldn't bother me just set me right off. A couple of days ago I punched a hole in my wall because I didn't tie my tie right. Have any of you experienced this? Do you think this is at ask related to my condition or potentially something else?
  17. Awesome to hear man! Really glad you're showing signs of improvement! Keep us posted:)
  18. Don't really think I suffer from dp/dr, unless that's the feeling I had after those naps, and if so those were the only times and they didn't last long.
  19. Thanks for the reply Shadow. Honestly, it's not really even the closed eye visuals that bother me so much as the feeling I have. It is just a trippy vertigo feeling. Anyway, I can live without naps. I was just wondering if it was weird that I experience this during naps yet not night sleep.
  20. Hey Eko, you came to the right place, everyone here is willing to lend a helping hand to help each other get better. I'm proud of you for getting sober, I know that's hard to do. I've had this for almost two months, still finding it hard to kick my cigarette habit. Anyway, as for your question on shrooms, I wouldn't advise using any psychedelic substance until well after you're completely recovered. To be honest I recommend not using psychedelics again at all after HPPD because the scary thing is that after you recover there's still a chance it can come back. But if you stay clean you have a good chance to keep that from happening. Good luck, stay clean, and don't be afraid to PM me if you need any personal help!
  21. I've noticed people on here sometimes have problems sleeping with hppd. Luckily I've only experienced this a few times, otherwise at night I sleep fine. What I found out this week though is that I can no longer handle midday/afternoon naps. The past two times I've tried I go into a state full of intense closed eye visuals where it honestly feels like I'm tripping hard as he'll, and when I wake up/snap out of it my visual symptoms are about ten times worse for the next hour or so. Has anyone else experienced anything similar/learned how to beat it?
  22. Congratulations Guy, inspiring to hear your hell-and-back story, I'm glad you've recovered! I wish a long happy, healthy life for you!
  23. Count myself lucky not to have this one, but I can agree with Shadows sunglasses suggestion, they seem to help all visual symptoms.
  24. Slowly but surely recovering

  25. Thank you so much dude. It feels good to be able to talk this through with someone who's been through the ringer. Seeing as I'd consider myself to have improved, I think I'll hold off on the doctors for now, but getting that info really helped make the decission easier for me. It means quite a deal to me for you to take time outta your day to help someone as mild-symptomed as me out, so again can't thank you enough man and best of luck to you. I hope your Keppra trial continues to help you dude.
