Have u been tested for optic neuritis and or inflammation?

I am getting to the bottom of my hppd and I am convinced it might actually be MS I react to everything and I have just discovered that it's an inflammatory reaction set off by my immune system. STEROIDS work!! If the neuro finds inflammation in my cns and brain hopefully he will start me on a course of high dose steroid treatment. Just thought I would share with everyone.

I wonder ..does gadolinium have aluminium in it? I remember doing a test for heavy metals and aluminium was the only one that came up as semi high..so I'm worried that gadolinium might be ffmm the same family

So what kind of symptoma did you have brake from the gadolinium ? U mentioned symptoms of heavy metal poisoning but what were they ?

Yeah I can't take antibiotics either ....cognitive is the worst and also perceptual exactly! So the dye was nothing like having an antibiotic then or a vitamin or supplement?

That's great it did not affect ur vision! Do most medications affect your vision? What aboit antibiotics? I'm just trying to get an idea if you are similar to me. Hopefully I will go through with the scan

Are there any blood tests you can do to check kidney function before getting the scan done? I'm pretty sure my kidneys are healthy ...but then again I don't really know what has been damaged due to Iboga! I don't have heavy metal poisoning as far as I know

Did u have hppd at the time when u had the scan and contrast ?

It's to get tested for multiple sclerosis which I believe to be the cause of my visual impairment and along with a host of many other neurological symptoms including numbness and tingling. Can u tell me more about ur reactions to it...did they use the minimal amount possible ? How did it affect ur vision etc

I just started seeing a neurologist recently and I am scheduled to get an MRI brain scan with gadolinium contrast dye..I was wondering if anyone has ever had that before and if they have reacted to the dye ?? I'm feeling anxious about it

If it was the Paxil u would have already known straight away or after a few days of upping the dose. Alcohol made my hppd worse 10 folds ..I could drink for a while initially and I would feel a bit worse afterwards but then one night after I had a few drinks my vision went so fkn bad and it never went back. I think the alcohol and pot made ur hppd worse for sure

I don't and cannot work at all My cognitive function is so fuked up and I have no sensory awareness or connection to anyone or anything. How on earth can I work ?? I can't even retain new information ..I don't remember if I did something 5 minutes ago. Currently I'm on welfare and waiting to see a neurologist

I recently made an awesome discovery ..I was perscribed steroids for my asthma recently ..I started taking them and they were also helping my reactions to everything! ..I have feared for a long time that Iboga caused massive inflammation in my cns which may be causing my visual disturbances ..and also multiple sclerosis. I plan on seeing a neurologist next month and I may consider trying high dose steroids to see if it fixes my vision.
